I’m 60 and my two product tip gets your makeup to ‘sit above’ any wrinkles – it’s so smooth and lifts your skin
GETTING your skin glowing can be difficult, especially as we mature and wrinkles start to appear.
One woman, however, has an easy way to protect her skin and still look flawless – thanks to a genius make up hack.
As fine lines and wrinkles begin to appear, many women tend to skip foundation all together as it tends to sit awkwardly on their skin.
Despite being sixty though, Cynthia Gouw still loves her glamourous make up and has showed other women how to get a dewy glow – even with mature skin.
Having modelled for 42 years, the former beauty queen knows how to look photo ready but has struggled with foundation before finding this hack.
“Now, you know how I always have told you that I like to take my foundation and actually not put it on straight up because it comes too heavy and it sits on my crevices,” she explained on Tiktok, telling fans that she now makes her own tinted moisturiser instead.
Rather than layering on her foundation, Cynthia will mix it with a little sunscreen before applying its which gives her a dewy finish and adds sun protection.
Showing off the Lancome foundation and Bioreuv sunscreen, she said: “I put it together and I mix it like this and look, it goes on so beautifully.”
It’s not hard to see why the mature model was so obsessed with the hack, which left her skin glowing and wrinkle free.
“Oh I love it,” she gushed, adding: “The effect is so smooth and it also lifts my skin because it’s not sitting on my crevices but sitting above my skin.”
Whilst her make up looked stunning, there was another important anti-aging benefit as the hack was helping to prevent aging with the factor 50 SPF.
With studies now stating that up to 80 per cent of all skin damage and aging is due to UV exposure, it’s never been more important to slap on the sunscreen.
Not only is sunscreen one of the easiest anti-aging products to find, it’s also one of the best ways to prevent premature aging as it blocks the sun’s harmful rays.
Most dermatologists will now recommend that you wear about half a teaspoon of factor 30, even on dull days, to help keep your skin looking youthful for as long as possible.
Just like Cynthia did, you can layer a traditional sunscreen and then a foundation with SPF to further protect your skin – especially if you are not reapplying throughout the day.
“You are almost 60?!?!?!?!?!! What…I’m 14 you look younger then me!”
Shocked skincare fan
Clearly, her skin has been reaping the rewards from her beauty routine with her followers struggling to believe that she was in her sixties.
After seeing one of the influencer’s recent videos, one young fan even wrote: “You are almost 60?!?!?!?!?!! What…I’m 14 you look younger then me!”
Another added: “I want to look like you in 60 [years], I am 37 now and have big pores.”
“Your skin is AMAZING and so is your bone structure,” gushed a third, after seeing another viral video by the mature influencer.
Right who has got the factor 50, then?
