I’m a plus-size model & got the viral Zara dress – it didn’t fit my big bust, people think it must be on backwards
A CURVY style enthusiast has vented her frustration after her breasts were unable to fit in a viral satin slip dress.
She decided to buy the item from Zara after being wowed by how flattering it looked on other fashionistas.
Denise Mercedes (@denisemmercedes) boasts over 3.5 million followers on TikTok, where she shares outfit inspiration.
She shared a clip of another social media user wearing Zara’s satin effect cutout dress in pink, before showing how it looked on her.
“It looked absolutely amazing on her and I hope it looks amazing on me but nothing from Zara ever fits me,” she said.
Denise covered her body with a hoodie before unveiling how the dress looked on her fuller figure.
“I actually got the dress in black and it doesn’t fit me,” she said before dropping the hoodie.
“It fits my body that’s one thing.
“Surprisingly it fits my hips because nothing ever fits my hips but my boobs are cut in half.”
She put one hand below the seam across the bust to show where her breast was as she complained about the fit.
“Half of my boob is here and the other half I don’t know where it is,” she said.
“It’s a gorgeous dress but for my girls with big boobies, another dress will be for us.”
The style guru tagged the TikToker who bought the dress in pink and the clothing brand in the caption of her post.
“#Stitch with @itsxanthiaa didn’t fit my big ol tatas [laughing] dress is from @Zara and it’s called satin effect cutout dress,” she wrote.
Almost 210,000 viewers liked the video of Denise wearing the $60 dress, which is currently sold out online.
Hundreds of people took to the comment section saying they’ve also struggled with the sizing of Zara’s clothes.
“Yes, they need to make the top part bigger!! It has so much potential,” one person wrote.
“I’m not understanding the reasoning behind the structure and tailoring up top for these dresses lol,” another said.
“Same thing happened to me [crying] fit my body so nice but the girls were spilling out!” a third commented.
“Always have this problem toooo. It’s the dress, not us,” a fourth added.
“I think the dress is on backward…” another quipped.
“It’s not,” Denise replied.
