Tish Cyrus banned daughter Noah from her wedding to Dominic Purcell because she ‘knew she would cause a scene’
NOAH Cyrus was reportedly banned from attending her mom’s wedding last year.
News broke earlier this week that Noah, 24, had been seeing actor Dominic Purcell before her mom Tish, 56, started dating him.
Tish got married to Dominic, 54, in August 2023 following her divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus.
Billy Ray, 62, filed for divorce from Tish in April 2022 after nearly three decades of marriage.
They share daughters Miley, 31, and Noah, and sons Trace, 35, and Braison, 29.
Most recently, sources have revealed that Noah and Tish haven’t been close since Tish started dating the Prison Break star.
They also said Noah was not invited to her mom’s wedding due to the anticipation that she would potentially “cause a scene.”
“Tish didn’t invite Noah to her wedding because she thought it would cause a scene and drama,” an insider told Entertainment Tonight.
“It’s also been an adjustment for Noah in general for her parents to be divorced.”
Both Noah and her brother Braison did not attend the ceremony, first sparking rumors about a potential feud in the family.
Just two months after Tish’s wedding, Billy Ray married Australian singer Firerose, who at 34 is just three years older than Miley.
Miley appears to have taken her mom’s side, having acted as maid of honor at her wedding and avoiding her dad’s.
Noah, however, has stuck by her father’s side.
“Noah is very loyal to Billy Ray,” the insider told People this week. “She and Billy Ray have always had a really close relationship.”
FAMILY FEUD
According to Tish, Dominic messaged her on Instagram in 2016, but she didn’t respond until following up again in 2022.
A source came forward earlier this week, claiming Noah was in fact dating Dominic before the pair started getting to know each other.
“Noah was [seeing] Dominic when Tish started pursuing him,” a source told Us Weekly.
The source also said that Tish was aware of the situation before deciding to pursue him.
“The turmoil between Noah and Tish goes far beyond [what people think],” said the source.
“Noah is very distraught over Tish stealing Dominic from her.”
Tish recently appeared on an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast and gushed over her romance with Dominic.
“So we go to lunch and make out for three hours,” she described their first meeting.
She added that they admitted their love for each other just one day later.
On the same podcast episode, Tish admitted she suffered a breakdown following her split from Billy Ray.
“It was crazy because also during Covid, my mom passed away…I literally was again alone during that time. I had to go through it alone. And I literally can’t believe I did that,” the 56-year-old said.
MILEY & HER DAD
Miley’s beef with Billy Ray seemed to have started amid her parents’ divorce and after his wedding in October.
Miley made it apparent their feud wasn’t over when she failed to mention Billy Ray in her acceptance speech at the Grammy Awards last month.
The singer scored awards for Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit single Flowers.
While speaking to the crowd, the Hannah Montana alum thanked a slew of individuals, including her mom, Tish.
Fans noticed Miley’s omittance of her father from her speech and speculated that the pair were still at odds.
