I used to think skinny was sexy – but men love my stretch marks, thick thighs and yum tum
A NAIL tech who used to think skinny was sexy reckons men actually prefer curvier ladies after she started getting more attention when she gained weight.
Lucy Robertson, 23, from Aberdeenshire, used to put herself through hell in an attempt to maintain a tiny figure.
But she only found confidence in her own body when it became apparent that curves were a woman’s best friend.
She says: “I’m judged hugely on my body. But I can assure you now that a man would take a second look at my curves compared to a woman who’s flatter.
“Yes, I may have extra loving there but it’s more to look at and to have fun with.
“I was a size six at one point in my life, I starved myself to achieve that perfect model figure all young females desire.
“I felt good for a short period of time. I then noticed the damage I caused.
“I may have been skinny but in my mind I wasn’t. My family and friends noticed how ill I looked, It wasn’t me.
“When the urge to be skinny left I felt disgusting.”
Lucy adds: “My features are too prominent to be slim.
“I chose to be bigger because I felt best at a size 12.
“I feel sexier bigger. I get more attention being a size 12 than a size six.
“Every man I’ve been with loves my child bearing hips, my thick thighs, the stretch marks, that extra bit of yum tum I have, not one female should be put down on the looks they were blessed with.
“If you feel good in your own skin you wear whatever you want.
“I know damn well I look good as hell in that bodycon dress or crop top that petite size six has on too.
“Rest assured there is someone or even millions of people that’ll love your perfect body.
“If you can’t handle these curves then you’re a pathetic little boy.
“Real men know how to love every inch of a gorgeous woman.”
