I wore PYJAMAS to my wedding reception – some people won’t get it but it was the best decision I made, I felt so free

IT’S not unheard of to choose a second wedding dress to wear for your evening reception.

But one bride took things to a whole other level, as she decided to swap her gown for a pair of white silk pyjamas.

She took to her TikTok page to share a video of herself hitting the dancefloor, having also swapped her wedding heels for a pair of slippers.

Her updo and bridal make-up remained firmly in place as she danced around, with a glass of champagne in one hand and a pair of white sunglasses in the other.

“Yes I wore PJs at my wedding night do… comfort first always,” she captioned the clip.

“If you know you’re that girl, you just have no choice other than to be that girl,” the voiceover added.

She also revealed that wearing the PJs meant she could entirely let loose and turn into Beyonce on the dance floor – with her new husband, still in his suit, as Jay Z.

People were quick to comment on the video, with many admitting they’d like to follow in the woman’s footsteps with their evening attire.

“This is gonna be me,” one wrote.

To which the bride replied: “Go for it girl, best decision you’ll make!”

“I’ve been planning to do this at mine – love it!” another raved.

“You need to, dance all night long!” the woman responded.

As a third said: “I did this at mine.. best decision I made about the whole day!”

“I bloody love this,” someone else wrote.

With the bride responding: “I was torn between a second dress but it just had to be pjs!

“Never felt so free!”

“I had Elmo pj pants on and a bride T-shirt,” another said of their wedding.

While someone else wrote: “Love this, great idea!”

“Best decision I’ve ever made, highly recommend,” the bride replied.

“My pal wore converse under her wedding dress instead of wedding shoes,” another laughed.

With the woman admitting: “I sooo wish I did this!

“Heels were not fun!”
