Too Hot To Handle’s Emily Miller ‘filled with fear’ on learning she was pregnant again after tragic ectopic pregnancy
TOO Hot To Handle star Emily Miller said she was “filled with fear” when she found out she was pregnant again, after her tragic ectopic pregnancy.
Emily, 29, who is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend Cam Holmes, first opened up about having an ectopic pregnancy in June 2022, and shared her heartbreak with her fans.
The star was rushed to hospital two years ago, after feeling indescribable pain in her stomach, where she underwent emergency surgery.
At the time, she said she was: “Physically in a lot of pain and bed bound after the surgery,” adding: “but mentally it’s been even harder.”
Explaining exactly what that meant, she wrote: “For those who haven’t heard of this (like me) it’s basically where the fetus gets stuck and grows in your Fallopian tube which is fatal and if I had left it much longer my Fallopian tube would of burst.”
Now, she and partner Cam, 27, are expecting a baby together due in June, and while they’re over the moon about becoming first time parents, Emily said they were “apprehensive to begin with.”
Emily shared: “We had doubts and concerns at first.
“But, luckily, it has been smooth sailing this time. We went and did an early pregnancy test at about seven weeks and then as soon as we got the all clear and found out everything was perfect and healthy, we were then able to relax.
“We were apprehensive to begin with, that’s for sure.”
Emily and Cam – who found love on the Netflix show in June 2021 – revealed they were expecting a baby on New Year’s Day.
Emily beamed as she showcased her blossoming baby bump, while Cam, 27, tenderly placed his hands on her stomach.
And talking about how her pregnancy is going, Emily said she’s “disappointed” because she’s yet to have any cravings.
She added: “I’m hoping that’s still to come but in terms of the actual pregnancy it’s been a breeze. I was feeling sick and tired in the first trimester but as soon as the second trimester hit it blew over.
“There were some moments where I thought ‘am I even still pregnant?’ it was that easy.”
And Cam admitted that they’re excited about all that’s to come – including the sleep deprivation.
The reality star said: “I know it’s weird to say but I’m actually excited about all the challenges of being a new parent that people talk about, including the sleep deprivation.”
Emily and Cam’s brand new podcast Now We’re Talking Baby will also see the pair chat all things baby with the help of guests and experts, as they experience life as new parents.
