Married At First Sight UK stars to marry for real – and Paul Brunson is going to the wedding this summer
MARRIED At First Sight has sparked genuine wedding bells for one couple – and matchmaker Paul C Brunson will be there to watch them say “I do”.
Ally Acklan and Paul Todd had been due to tie the knot for the E4 reality show but their big day fell victim to Covid.

But with just three to go, filming was scrapped as the UK was plunged into national lockdown and their ceremony was cancelled.
Determined to find out what could have been, medical insurance manager Ally and train driver Paul began chatting on Skype – and Cupid’s arrow struck.
Proving Paul Brunson and his fellow MAFS matchmakers right, Ally and Paul fell for each other and became and became a couple once restrictions were lifted.
They have even had a baby together and are now set to walk down the aisle for real.
Paul B told New! magazine: “The first MAFS UK series is still the most successful matching series of any television dating show ever.
“I’m going to Paul and Ally’s wedding this summer!”
He added: “To play a role in bringing together two strangers who go on to have a baby and get officially married – and then meeting that child who is going to the wedding – is incredible!”
Paul and Ally welcomed their first child together just 18 months after they had begun chatting online.
With their MAFS UK experience scuppered by lockdown, they were still keen to find out who they had been due to ‘marry’ on the show.
Ally later told Mail Online: “As soon as we locked eyes on each other on Skype and started talking, we knew why we were matched. It was obvious.
Paul added: “I had butterflies the moment I set eyes on her. We both just connected immediately.”
The couple were finally able to meet in person three months later and, by October, they were expecting their first baby together.
They are now parents to a two-year-old daughter called Penelope.
Ally added: “It wasn’t planned, but once the shock wore off, we just thought how blessed and lucky we were.”
