I bought the ugliest house on the street… it had a carpet in the bathroom, now people say it’s the ‘most beautiful home’
A MAN who bought the ugliest house on the street has gone viral after showing off its incredible transformation.
Mo, took to social media to show off the transformation of the outdated house with bathroom carpets and 70s tiling.
Mo decided to buy the ugliest house on the street[/caption] Five years on, people say it’s the most beautiful home[/caption] The inside of the house wasn’t much to look at[/caption]Mo, who has a keen eye for interior design if his house is anything to go by, said: “POV – This is your sign to buy the ugliest house on the street and make it your DREAM HOME.
“It took us 5 years to turn this house into a HOME, but it was worth it.”
The slideshow first showed the outside of his house, and while it wasn’t dreadful, the white PVC door and porch wasn’t exactly stylish.
But Mo saw to it quickly, swapping the bland white PVC to a more modern black and added a splash of colour with a bright orange door.
Moving inside, the dingy hallway and staircase was renovated to bring some life into the home with a olive green staircase and a stunning wall art gallery running opposite the stairs.
The savvy DIY pro also switched out the navy downstairs bathroom for a country-style green and white theme with floral wallpaper.
To elevate the dated front room, Mo decided to add some panelled walls painted in a stunning sage green colour which complimented the green sofa.
The front room – which had an old electric fireplace attached to the now-boarded up chimney was striped out and the fireplace and updated it with a new fire burning one – placing a bookcase to the left side.
He’d also switched out the outdated dark green bedroom for an incredible country house-style room in duck egg blue and yellow.
The DIY whizz also added built-in bookcases to the dining room and added a farmhouse table and chair set with rattan accessories.
The bathroom was also in need of a touch-up with it’s outdated walk-in shower, 70’s tiles and carpeted floor.
He added some more modern white and black tiles and a new bath tub with overhanging shower and of course, ripped up the carpet for black and white tiles.
Finally, Mo transformed the garden of his new home.
The standard PVC white back door was taken out in favour of French patio doors.
And he added some chic garden furniture to enjoy the sunshine – with a built-in sun shade.
But he transformed the interiors to match his own style[/caption] The carpeted bathroom was ripped out[/caption] He added a modern touch with black and white tiles and a built-in bath[/caption]The clip has since gone viral on his TikTok account @mo.and.the.jungle.shelf with over 1million views and 210k likes.
People were left in awe over the transformation and quickly took to the comments to praise Mo for his work.
One person wrote: “This is the most beautiful house ever! & now I want an orange front door.”
Another commented: “I love the like modern, vintage, farmhouse, Tuscan styles all mixed into one it’s amazing.”
“It’s so beautiful! What a fab job you’ve done,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “I love the garden and how you’ve added more plants/ bushes. A lot of people strip all that away. Your house is beautiful.”
“You made a house into a home,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “The taste is impeccable.”
