I have gray hair and don’t wear a bra – people say I’m ‘too old’ but I refuse to be embarrassed by my body
AN age-positive woman over 40 has clapped back at people who slammed her for what she wears.
Even though critics said she was “too old” to dress the way she did, she’s past dwelling on what other people think.
Judy was standing in a checkout line when she heard people judging her[/caption]Judy (@judy_n_disguise) shared the uplifting body-positive message in a TikTok video.
As she waited in line to purchase items, she overheard a conversation about her.
“Do you see that woman in the checkout line? She’s not wearing a bra,” they said.
“She has gray hair and is way too old to be showing that much skin”
Judy wore an orange tank top with her hair in a bun and simply smiled.
“Yep, it’s me,” she said bluntly.
She unabashedly stood up for herself against the harsh words.
“I refuse to be uncomfortable because other people still think women should be embarrassed by their bodies,” she said, adding the hashtags #freethetatas and #over40andproud.
People motivated her in the comments, reassuring her after the unfortunate incident.
“Do you boo,” said one commenter.
“It is your personal space, wear or not wear what you want,” said another.
“You go, babe, be you and forget the rest. Beautiful in all ways!” said a third.
“This is what a real woman looks like!” said a fourth.
“I don’t wear bras either!” said one woman in mutual agreement.
“I freaking hate them! Especially in a tropical climate, good for you girl!” Judy replied.
