New Britain’s Got Talent host lined up to stand-in for Ant McPartlin when his pregnant wife goes into Labour
CAT Deeley could stand in as Britain’s Got Talent co-host this summer when Ant McPartlin’s pregnant wife goes into labour.
Producers are working out a contingency plan for the live screenings if he has to briefly leave Declan Donnelly’s side.

Dec could present solo or see one of his presenter pals — such as Cat, 47, or Stephen Mulhern, 46 — come in as a guest host.
Cat now hosts ITV’s This Morning, replacing Holly Willoughby.
The Sun revealed last month how thrilled Ant was to be a dad at 48 and that wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 46, is expecting in June.
But a TV source said: “The timing is causing something of a headache for bosses.
“They are considering whether Dec would present alone if Anne-Marie went into labour or, if time allows, a guest presenter could step in. Cat and Stephen, who the lads have worked with in the past, are front-runners.”
The Geordie duo have worked with Stephen on Saturday Night Takeaway and previously with Cat on SMTV Live and CD:UK.
The Sun recently told how the couple, who tied the knot in August 2021, are adding to their family.
Ant has spoken out on Anne-Marie‘s pregnancy while opening up about his and Declan Donnelly’s decision to rest their show Saturday Night Takeaway.
Speaking to Fault magazine, he said: “We need to spend some time with our family. We’ve both got children.”
While this is Ant’s first child, Dec, also 48, shares Isla, five, and one-year-old Jack with wife Ali.
We revealed earlier this month that Anne-Marie, 46, is expected to give birth in June.
