In a recent video, the 32-year-old mum revealed the warning signs that mean a hairdresser may not have your hair’s best interests at heart.
Danielle, who hosts her own parenting podcast Keep It Casual, said: “Hairdresser red flags for new clients.”
First up, she told hair lovers that you should avoid stylists if they don’t offer an online or in person consultation.
It’s also a warning sign if they don’t ask you for your hair history, don’t give or offer any home care advice or ask if YOU want to add on a toner to your lightening appointment.
And the biggest red flag of all, Danielle says, is if you leave your appointment unhappy.
She added: “Sure there are more but here are my top five and the most common ones I hear from my new clients telling me about past experiences!
“Asking a client if they want a toner had to be the worst.”
And her fellow hairdressers seem to agree with her shortlist.
One said: “Omg I can’t even imagine NOT doing a consultation prior to booking anyone in.”
Meanwhile, another chimed in: “I require a consult before booking, people act like I’m crazy and ridiculous for doing that.”
Danielle earlier revealed the big mistake people make when washing their hair – and it could be wrecking your locks.
She said: “If you shampoo the ends of your hair, you are doing it wrong.
“Shampoo is for cleaning your scalp and roots of your hair.
“Shampooing the ends can cause tangling and possible breakage.”
She also revealed the three shampoo brands she swears by that she always recommends to customers.
