My date was angry I was literally 2 minutes late – he mansplained my job but the worst part was his text to me afterward
A BAD date left a woman horrified and confused when he confronted her via text.
She explained that the date wasn’t going well when he started mansplaining her job but it quickly went downhill.
Cassie (@heyitscassie13) shared the bad first date story in a TikTok video.
“I went on a horrible date tonight but the worst thing about it happened afterward,” she said.
She was immediately turned off by her date’s behavior on first impression.
“He keeps talking over me very loud,” she said.
Every time I would say something about what I do for work, he would explain to me why the things that I do are hard and why it must be so hard for me to run a business as a woman.”
Her date gets up to go to the bathroom, at which point Cassie decides to wave the waiter over for the check.
“We were in a place where I knew the server so our server stopped by and said, ‘Oh, how’s it going?'” she said.
“I was like, ‘Honestly, not great. I don’t know’ and she was like, ‘Oh, do you want me to bring the check?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, when you get a chance that’d be great.'”
“Short little conversation, how’s it going, I say not great, she asked for the check, and I said sure.”
Her date insisted on paying for the bill and the two wrapped up the date but Cassie was surprised to find out the evening was not quite over when she got back home.
“I get a message from him that says, ‘A catfish and late for the date? Wow Cassie, good luck,'” she said.
“Mind you I was two minutes late for the date.”
She revealed that her date was scheduled for 7:30 and she had arrived at 7:32.
“The catfish part, I said you feel like I catfished you? And he said ‘Yeah, dot dot dot.’
I’m like, That’s not catfishing, first of all, I don’t know what you think that is.
“‘As I was walking to my car from the date, a guy that was at a neighboring table pulled up next to me and told me that you were talking smack about me while I was in the bathroom.'”
Cassie was shocked that her short conversation with the waiter had been misconstrued so badly.
“Huh? One, wasn’t talking smack. The waitress asked how it was going, wasn’t going well, answered honestly,” she said.
“Two, why was that guy listening and three, why would he tell him that? That’s terrible, why would you tell a guy that?
“Anyways so I’m like, ‘That’s not catfishing, first of all, I don’t know what you think that is. I don’t think that’s what happened but I’m sorry if you’re upset,'” she said.
“Someone needs to clarify with this man what catfishing is.”
