IT’S still not too late to bag a beach holiday that won’t cost a fortune.
Turkey is one of the most cost-effective countries for Brits to visit, so we’ve rounded up the cheapest deals to get you there.
Turkey is one of the most cost-effective countries for Brits to visit, so we’ve rounded up the cheapest deals to get you there[/caption]Thanks to its cheap package deals, flights and cost of living, Turkey is quickly becoming one of the top destinations for British tourists.
In fact, the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism said 3.16 million Brits visited the country between January and September 2023.
Last year, Turkey was also crowned the “cheapest holiday destination” all year round.
Holidaymakers will now get almost 73 per cent more for their pound than a year ago — around £210 more when converting £500 into Turkish Lira (TL).
For instance, once you’re there, we’ve also found that a bottle of beer costs around £2.85, while coffee is only £1.45.
With almost 300 days of sunshine a year, Turkey is a destination worth visiting all year round — but it shines over spring and summer.
May and June might be the best months to visit, as temperatures should reach highs of 32C and daily averages around 25C.
And although temperatures will be optimal for a beach holiday, the country’s top destinations should remain relatively quiet as kids are still in school.
The best deals we’ve spotted come from different holiday companies, including Jet2holidays, loveholidays, Travel Republic and On the Beach.
If you’re searching for the biggest bargains, we’ve found week-long holidays costing from £231pp (which can also be secured today with £114pp).
