Lorraine Kelly reveals new hosting line-up on her ITV show as she enjoys Easter break
LORRAINE Kelly has revealed a fresh presenter line-up for the ITV show as she enjoys an Easter break.
The Scottish presenter, 64, will enjoy a peaceful Good Friday away from the cameras as she takes some much-needed time off.
As Thursday’s episode of Lorraine wrapped, she told viewers: “That’s all for today, Christine Lampard is here tomorrow.”
She then added: “You have a good day and Happy Easter,” hinting she will also be replaced on her Monday show.
Lorraine‘s programme airs every Monday to Friday, running from 9am to 10am.
Christine, a regular on Loose Women, often fills in for Lorraine during the school holidays.
Fans recently claimed the show anchor had “disappeared” after she was absent back in October.
The Lorraine change-up comes after sister show Good Morning Britain also underwent a huge show shake-up.
Today, popular anchor Susanna Reid, 53, told how she would be taking a “couple of weeks” off – before urging viewers “not to panic.”
Meanwhile Friday ad-hoc presenter Adil Ray, 49, is also enjoying a fortnight off.
Memorable moment
Lorraine’s seasonal break comes after a hugely memorable moment earlier this week.
The star officiated on a same-sex marriage which played out live on air.
Wearing a sparkling rainbow-stripe frock, she gave a blessing to Cardiff-based Luke Avaient and Gavin Sheppard, who said their I Dos in front of family and friends gathered in the studio.
It was aired to mark a decade of same sex marriage, which was only legalised in the UK in 2014.
Former Tory Prime Minister David Cameron backed the motion in Parliament, saying: “I am a strong believer in marriage.
“It helps people commit to each other and I think it is right that gay people should be able to get married too.”
