Woman shows off her ‘perfect’ wedding guest dress – but people rage she’d end up with a glass of red wine over her
A WOMAN has left people raging after showing off the “perfect” dress to wear to a wedding.
Georgia donned the ruffled ASOS dress, complete with a thigh-high split, for a video, as she lip synced along to a Sex and the City quote.
“This @asos dress!!!!!” Georgia captioned the video, along with the hashtags “#weddingguestdress #weddingguest”.
But people in the comments section weren’t convinced that the pale pink number was suitable for someone’s nuptials.
“If I saw someone wearing this at a wedding they would end up wearing a glass of red wine,” one person raged, before adding: “You look gorgeous in it, don’t get me wrong!”
“HAHA I love how people get so mad with wedding guest outfits but I get it it’s a very light shade – maybe better for another occasion!” Georgia replied.
And others also defended Georgia.
“It’s clearly pink the dress so what is your issue?” one asked.
“I think it’s so cute it’s pink not white what’s the problem?”another questioned.
“Looks see through but stunning,” someone else said.
But others were more complimentary about the dress, which is so popular that it’s currently sold out on ASOS.
“Love this,” one wrote.
“Gorge,” another gushed.
“My fave,” a third commented.
While someone else said: “Gorgeous!”
And another person was more concerned about “what lighting” Georgia was using for the video.
“Big ring light and a soft box,” she replied.
“It is effort but once it’s all set up it works good!”
It’s a widely accepted rule to never wear white to a wedding – as the bride should be the only one in the colour.
Other hues that aren’t suitable for someone’s nuptials are red, which used to be thought to indicate that the woman wearing it had slept with the groom.
A plain black dress also isn’t advisable, unless it’s part of the dress code for the nuptials.
