Madonna, 65, celebrates son Rocco’s Miami art exhibition in green suit and white cowboy hat
MADONNA pops off to her son Rocco’s art exhibition — and can’t help but draw attention.
The 65-year-old, whose hits include Into The Groove and Material Girl, topped a green suit with a white cowboy hat in Miami.
Rocco, 23, was displaying a collection of paintings called Pack A Punch, inspired by Muay Thai fighters.
Madonna, who is currently trekking the world with her Celebration Tour, said: “So happy to have the night off to enjoy my son Rocco’s’s latest collection”.
She was joined by daughter Mercy James, 18, son David Banda, 18, and twins Stella and Esetre, who all appear in her hit show.
Rocco, who is the son of director Guy Ritchie, says he has been painting since he was a boy.
He said: “’I’ve been painting since I was a small kid. It is something that always caught my attention and gave me a place to escape”.
Earlier this year Madge celebrated her 64th Top Ten single in the UK after returning to the Official Charts for the first time since 2009.
In November, the songwriter opened up in detail for the first time about how close she was to death during her stint in the ICU in June.
Madonna suffered lung and kidney failure, with doctors fitting her with a breathing cannula to help keep her alive.
Speaking on stage in Paris at the Accor Arena, the emotional singer said: “I was in the hospital. I was in the ICU. My lungs weren’t working, I wasn’t breathing on my own.
“My kidneys were failing. I was infected with some bacteria that nobody knows about. And there is a 40% mortality rate.
“When I woke up I saw all my children around me and I thought this is what will save me. My children will save me. It’s not me who saved them.”
