Emmerdale viewers ‘rumble’ outrageous new affair storyline with Manpreet and married villager
EMMERDALE fans have been convinced they have rumbled a brand new affair storyline in the Dales.
Eagle-eyed viewers believe that they have spotted Manpreet Sharma eyeing up a much younger resident as part of a brand new romance plot.
Over the past weeks, fans have begun to wonder if Manpreet’s current relationship with vicar Charles Anderson will stand the test of time after she rejected his marriage proposal.
Their relationship has also faced scrutiny from Charles’ mother Claudette who has been critical at the couple being unmarried after suggesting they are living in sin.
Although Manpreet insisted she just did not want to ruin a good thing and that she was still committed to Charles and their union, fans have begun to think otherwise.
Instead, they think the GP has formed a crush on a much younger Dales hunk who just so happens to be a married man.
Billy Fletcher has recently started up his personal training business again with Manpreet quick to sign on to have some sessions with him.
In upcoming scenes, it becomes clear that Manpreet is crushing on Billy as she attempts to flirt with him during a steamy session.
However, committed to his wife Dawn and oblivious to anything more, Billy does not realise that Manpreet is attempting to begin an affair with him.
Before the scenes hot up, fans have already picked up on manpreet fancying Billy after spending time with him in the pub and turning to him for advice.
Talking about Manpreet, one fan said: “Bet she’s going to have an affair.”
Another added: “Billy and Manpreet… just putting it out there.”
A third surmised: “Billy and Manpreet affair when?”
Although it is clear that Manpreet wants Billy, the PT will have more on his plate when his family is rocked with shocking news.
Billy and Dawn welcomed son Evan just before Christmas, but in upcoming scenes they will be left devastated when their baby boy is diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
Speaking at an Emmerdale press day, show producer Laura Shaw explained: “We’ve got a big story coming up for Billy and Dawn.
“We’ve seen these two go through a whole heap of challenges in their relationship.
“They’ve finally got married, they survived Meena, Dawn got pregnant, they had baby Evan and it’s been fairly rosy for these two over the past few months.
“We’re going to see their world totally rocked when, almost out of nowhere, Evan is diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL).
“ALL is one of the most common childhood leukaemias. I think there’s 650 children and young adults diagnosed with that every year in the UK.”
