They didn’t mince words when describing the over-the-top listing.
“Though y’all might appreciate the creepiness of this dude’s post in my local babysitter/nanny group,” they wrote.
The ad including ridiculous demands, all to be done without a pay check.
THE JOB LISTING FROM HELL
The single father of two wrote that he was looking for a “live-in nanny.”
“I am seeking a live in nanny to help me with my two wonderful children. I have an extra room that would be all yours,” he said.
“I am looking for someone who would be a part of the family. Someone who hopefully will stick around and be a friend to my kids.
“I have a two-year-old girl and six-year-old boy. They are both great kids. Pretty funny too. They really are a joy to be around.”
The 42-year-old divorced man continued by laying out his requirements for his ideal nanny.
“I am seeking a 18-ish to 35-ish woman. Someone fit, energetic, and happy, who is able to run around and play with them,” he said.
“Must be creative, playful, kind, empathetic and nurturing. Cooking, teaching and first aid experience is a plus. Must have a driver’s license with clean record. No criminal record either.”
Things got sour when he mentioned what would be expected of the new hire.
“Occasional help from 7 am to 8 am getting them ready for school,” he said. “I can usually do this but it might be nice to have a hand sometimes.
“Regular cleaning of the house, dishes, laundry. Not too hard. I currently do it but an extra hand would be nice. 5:30-ish, cook dinner and/or play with the kids.
“Again, I currently do both but help would be nice. If I have something come up I would need help with bedtime.
“Some weekends you might be free to do your own thing.”

“My two-year-old goes to bed at 6:30 pm and my six-year-old goes to bed at 8 pm. Times will change as they get older.
“Weekends I try to have things planned for us to do. I like to keep them busy and happy.
“Occasionally maybe you could join us or maybe you could take them to a playground or something. Some weekends you might be free to do your own thing. That’s pretty much it. Not very hard.”
RUN ME MY CHECK
The Redditor specified that in the original post, the single father said the unthinkable regarding payment.
“When asked how much he was expecting to pay for a live in nanny, he said he assumed room and board would be compensation enough,” IlludiumQXXXVI wrote.
“Fortunately he got roasted by most folks in the comments.”
The Redditor also gave an update on the shocking add, with other users of the social media platform chiming in.
“Oh my God, I just noticed someone else posted about this guy, I love how everyone immediately realized how absurd and entitled this guy was. He has since deleted all his posts,” they added.
“The more times a post mentions how easy or not hard the job will be, the more work you’ll have to do almost guaranteed,” another added.
“I don’t want to work for someone who in their job posting is already denigrating how much work childcare is.”
