The YouTubers and expert detailers, Rj & Brent, who make up WD Detailing, revealed that the car was bought over ten years ago.
However, after it malfunctioned the owner left it in the barn collecting dust.
The 30-minute video showed the pair restoring the mouldy and rusty Subaru to its iconic look.
The pair had their work cut out for them as they uncovered more mess inside the car.
“Then I saw all this on the floor,” they added.
“Look at this, that’s pretty rough … there’s some more mess in here and there’s going to be some surprises – for sure.”
The team began hoovering all the excess muck around the car and cleaned the rims, which revealed its iconic gold trim.
The detailing experts hosed down the bonnet using a pressure washer restoring the Subaru’s black paint.
The Subaru’s spoiler is the most recognisable part of the car, so they had to remove it to hose and polish it separately.
Once the exterior was fully cleaned they turned their attention to the engine which needed a lot of work.
They polished and rinsed it using a pressure washer and went over it again with a cloth to remove any leftover dirt.
The WD detailing team had to remove the seats inside the Subaru because the interior was “really gross”.
They “extracted” the carpet and used a powerful hoover to suck the dirt out of the Subaru’s seats thoroughly.
After the cleaning experts got rid of the rust and mould inside the car, the owner tried to get the engine up and running again.
In just a couple of attempts, the iconic Subaru roared back to life, much to the owner’s delight.
The owner said: “I just can’t believe it dude – you hear this thing, sounds like a lawn mower.”
it comes after an urban explorer found a fleet of cars that were left to rot behind an abandoned mansion.
And a whopping £2.4million collection of stunning motors were discovered in an old warehouse including a £50k ‘whale tail’ Cadilac.
