Struggling teen mum-to-be begs strangers to help pay for baby’s wish list and is left overwhelmed by their generosity
A STRUGGLING teen mum-to be has been left emotional by strangers’ generosity, after begging people to buy products for her baby.
Elizabeth Burcham said that the response she received “meant the world” to her, after the items on her wish list had all been bought after just 24 hours.
The young mum, who works in a supermarket, took to TikTok to ask for help, after struggling to buy the things she needs to provide for her unborn child.
Referencing former prisoner Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who reportedly asked strangers to buy her items including a £400 pram earlier this week after announcing her pregnancy, the mum said: “I see y’all bought out Gypsy Rose’s baby registry.
“I may not be famous or have been to prison, but I am a struggling teen mum who works hard for her baby”.
In the caption to the video, Elizabeth included a link to her baby registry.
A baby registry is a list of items that you ask for to help you to provide for your baby.
Elizabeth’s list included items such as nappies, baby bottles and baby clothes, and included links where people could buy the products.
The mum-to-be’s video, soon went viral, racking up 2.1 million views on the video sharing platform.
And Elizabeth was left completely overwhelmed, after everything sold out after just a few hours.
In a second video, Elizabeth thanked people for their generosity.
She said: “I never expected that video to blow up.
“Me and my boyfriend are just so thankful, and feel like our prayers have been answered.
“Now our baby girl has more of what she needs”.
TikTok users raced to the comments section of Elizabeth’s video, which was posted under the username @lizziee_.b to share their support.
One person said: “I felt bad because I was only able to buy one thing off your registry.

Tracy Kiss, who fell pregnant at 19, has revealed what she believes are the pros of being a young mother.
The personal trainer and blogger, from Buckinghamshire, believes women who give birth in their teens make BETTER mothers than those in their 30s.
She claims young mums snap back into shape quicker, have more energy and relate more easily to their children, meaning they’re better behaved and happier.
Tracy told Fabulous: “Women who become first-time mums in their teens make better parents than those in their 30s or 40s.
“I believe if I’d been 10 or so years older before becoming a mother then I wouldn’t have the relationship I have with my children now.
“For a start, being older I would have had less energy and therefore less patience.
“I wouldn’t be as enthusiastic to speak to people after months of sleepless nights as I was in my teens.
“My body snapped back to its pre-pregnancy size through fitness post-birth, which in turn gave me the confidence to date and find love again. I’ve never been happier than I am now at the age of 30 with two children.
“If I’d have been alone at 40 with a newborn baby I’d be more tired, less happy with my body, less energetic and far more stressed from the shock of living my life for myself instead of putting others first. Sometimes age and the innocence of ignorance is a good thing.
“As a teen mum I just got on with it, found my feet and became responsible and capable because at the time I didn’t know any different.”
“Now I see everything has been bought. Many hands makes light work.”
A second person said: “I just logged in to buy something and it looks like everything on your list has been purchased.
“I’ve never smiled this much over a stranger!”
A third person said: “Can we please normalise doing this.
“So many mums are struggling because of lack of funds or family to help. “
A fourth person added: “I’m so happy for you.
“I love helping mums because I had zero support and bought 95% of my stuff on my own”.
