CESC FABREGAS is closing in on securing a Premier League legend that you will have forgotten was still playing as his next signing.
The Arsenal and Chelsea icon, 37, played a key role in helping Como to return to Serie A after a 21-year absence last season.

The Spanish keeper, 41, has just celebrated his 25th anniversary of being a pro.
He has played for the likes of Barcelona, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Napoli and Inter Milan.

Reina is now a free agent after leaving Villarreal after two seasons with the LaLiga club.
Now he looks set to return to Italy for his fifth club in Serie A.
This update states that Fabregas considers Reina’s experience “fundamental” to the Como project.
And Reina could also be reunited with a former Villarreal team-mate.
Como are also on the verge of signing left-back Alberto Moreno, 32, after he was also released by Villarreal.
He is another former Liverpool player after spending five years at Anfield from 2014.
Reina joined Villarreal for a second spell in 2022, 19 years after his first stint came to an end.
Since returning, Reina racked up 43 appearances but become a bit-part player last season, featuring in just two LaLiga games.
Reina, who earned 36 caps for Spain, started his career at Barcelona, before moving to Villarreal in 2002.
After three years he signed for Liverpool to succeed former Reds goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek as No1.
