PARENTS are racing to get to Morrisons, eager to get their hands on a brand new picnic box.
The much-loved chain has launched a Family Picnic Box and it’s perfect for summer holidays and half term days out with kids.
The Family Picnic Box is brilliant for summer days out, and if you’re on a budget, you won’t want to miss this[/caption] You can choose two children’s sandwiches and two adult sandwiches[/caption] You also get a pack of either six sausage rolls or cheese and onion rolls, a sweet treat, crisps, fruit and drinks[/caption]Many parents will know that eating out as a family can often become quite expensive.
But thankfully, Morrisons has come to the rescue with their handy box that will not only please kids, but adults too.
Thrilled with the find, one savvy shopper took to social media to show off her bargain buy – which costs £15 with a Morrisons More Card, or £20 without one.
Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, a private Facebook group with 2.5 million members, Samantha Evans shared snaps of her Morrisons purchase.
The savvy mum then revealed that inside the box, she got two adult sandwiches, and she confirmed that you can choose from egg and cress, smoked ham and cheese, tuna crunch rolls or chicken and bacon rolls.
As well as this, you also get two children’s sandwiches, with ham or cheese available.
In addition to this, shoppers will get a pack of either six sausage rolls or cheese and onion rolls.
A picnic wouldn’t be complete without crisps – and for this picnic box, you can choose from a six-pack of Walkers Variety or a 125g bag of Morrisons’ The Best Cooked Sea Salted Crisps.
You additionally get a sweet treat – with the choice of five strawberry doughnuts, a pack of five milk chocolate chunk cookies or five custard doughnuts.
Not only this, but the picnic box also comes with a fruit pack – and you can choose between a seven-pack of sweet easy peel oranges, a five-pack of bananas, or a six-pack of apples.
And to top it off, you can choose two adult drinks and two children’s drinks.
For the adult drinks, you can have two bottles of spring water, 7UP, Pepsi Max, Oasis Citrus, or Fanta Zero.
And for the children’s drinks, there’s spring water, or orange or apple and blackcurrant Fruit Burst.

When do supermarkets put out yellow-sticker bargains?
The time supermarkets reduce their products vary across stores.
Here’s a rough supermarket-by-supermarket guide:
Aldi
Aldi uses a red sticker to show reductions on fresh products such as bread, meat, fruit and vegetables.
This is when they have reached the last day of shelf life.
Red stickered items are most commonly found at opening and closing times.
M&S
Reduction times can vary from store to store but is most likely to occur near closing time.
Asda
Asda told Which? that yellow stickers are applied twice a day – in the morning and evening.
Co-op
Co-op told The Sun its reduced-to-clear prices are generally applied about four hours before the store closes.
Lidl
Lidl has a similar procedure to Asda and Aldi with reductions twice a day.
However individual stores may opt to reduce prices throughout the day.
Morrisons
Shoppers online have said that Morrisons does the best bargains first thing in the morning.
However, the store told Which? that there are no specific times for yellow sticker price cuts.
Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s told The Sun it’s at the store manager’s discretion whether to offer discounts.
However, shoppers have reported that the best deals are in the evening from 6pm.
Tesco
Tesco has said there is no specific time for reduction, but again most people found that prices were reduced from 6pm.
Waitrose
As with most of the other stores, Waitrose shoppers have said the best reductions are found before closing.
However, the store stated that there is no specific time for yellow stickers to be applied.
A third commented: “Wow that’s amazing! Thanks for sharing as I had no idea this existed.”
Meanwhile, one shopper beamed: “I got one yesterday. Used my More Card. Absolutely 100% worth it.
“Lots of choice, something to suit everyone. Just go to the cafe and choose from the order form. Well worth it.”
