I’m 41 and thought I’d look haggard but people say I look decades younger – it’s all thanks to a single skincare product
A WOMAN who assumed she would look her age at 41 has revealed how she looks decades younger.
Yvonne Kipling took to social media to show off her incredible youthful look and it left people stunned.
The 41-year-old used the age filter on social media to show people what she thought she would look like by the time she reached 40.
The filter showed Yvonne with sagging jowls and wrinkles all over her face.
But when she took the filter off it showed a very different reality.
Her natural skin showed no wrinkles and it had a gorgeous youthful glow.
The beauty fan looked decades younger and many viewers agreed – but she revealed it was all down to one product.
She said: “How I thought I would look at 41, thank you tretinoin.”
The incredible skincare product is a type of retinol which works by shedding old skin and encouraging new growth of healthy cells.
This accelerates cell turnover which can help tackle acne, wrinkles and hyper-pigmentation.
Tretinoin is stronger than retinol and works more quickly.
But it can also lead to more side effects like redness, dryness, and peeling.
When using tretinoin or retinol for the first time, you should introduce it into your skincare routine slowly starting with twice a week and moving up from there.
Tretinoin is a prescription medication in the UK, so you’ll have to go to your doctor or online dermatologists such as Dermatica to get it.
Alternatively you can use retinol which can be bought in Boots or Superdrug.
The clip has since gone viral on her TikTok account @yvonnekipling with over 3.9 million views and 435k likes.
What is Retinol?
Retinol is a major buzzword in the beauty industry right now...
Retinol is a chemical exfoliant that belongs to the retinoid family, a group of compounds derived from vitamin A.
It promotes the shedding of old, dead skin cells and the production of new, healthy cells. This process helps to keep the skin smooth and glowy by improving texture and tone.
By accelerating cell turnover, retinol also helps to unclog pores, making it an effective treatment for acne.
Regular use of retinol can significantly enhance the overall texture and tone of the skin. It can minimise the appearance of pores, smooth rough patches, and even out pigmentation.
Retinol also helps to fade dark spots and hyper-pigmentation by accelerating the turnover of pigmented cells and promoting the growth of new, evenly pigmented cells.
People were quick to take to the comments in awe over her youthful appearance.
One person wrote: “You’re 41?!!!!! You look so much younger!”
Another commented: “41??? wowwwza.”
“You’re the first person I’ve seen do this trend that actually looks younger than their age,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “Girlll you look a good 20 something.”
“You have amazing skin,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “you look way younger! I need tretinoin now.”
