The 14-year-old, who was the daughter of her own daughter, sadly passed following an asthma attack.
As Sandra told of the impact of the family tragedy in depth, the This Morning camera panned to Rochelle.
She was seen dabbing tears from her eyes and blowing her nose, before she told her co-stars: “I’m so sorry.
“Oh gosh.”
Meanwhile, Deirdre took the lead and offered sage advice.
She told Sandra: “There is no easy way through this.
“You can only go through grief, not around it.”
Referring to Rochelle’s emotion she added: “We all really, really feel for you.”
She then suggested Sandra share her emotions with her spouse.
The expert also suggested the family club together for a charity event in memory of the teenager.
As the segment came to a close mum-of-three Rochelle was clearly still struggling.
She added: “Very sorry to hear that Sandra.”
