FRENCH DUKE (1.50 Goodwood, nap)
He was an eyecatcher when sixth in the King George V at Royal Ascot when making his challenge much too soon. He has a hood to help him settle today and there’s more to come from what looks a fair handicap mark.
NOTABLE SPEECH (3.35 Goodwood, nb)
He was one of several Charlie Appleby horses to have a mare at Royal Ascot and he can show his true colours here. He was brilliant when beating Rosallion – who will no longer line up here owing to a respiratory infection – in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket and a repeat of that could take the spoils.
AESTERIUS (3.00 Goodwood, treble)
He was just over a length off the pace in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot and showed his class when taking a Sandown Listed contest earlier this month. That was just his third run so there’s a lot more to come from this pacey colt.

FRENCH DUKE was an eyecatcher when sixth in the King George V at Royal Ascot when making his challenge much too soon.
He has a hood to help him settle today and there’s more to come from what looks a fair handicap mark.
Subsequent did well to get back up on the line at Salisbury last time after being headed.
A 7lb rise means he needs to find more but it’s early days and he’s capable of better.
Goodwood Odyssey saw out this trip well when a close-up third at Newmarket last time. His yard is in form and the first-time blinkers could help.
Lord Of Love has won his past two including over this trip. He’s up 4lb for a game victory latest and is right in the mix.
Gallantly didn’t fire at Ascot after a good Chester win and could easily bounce back with Ryan Moore taking over.

BREEGE showed a liking for Goodwood when beaten a neck in a Listed race here in May and followed up by winning rhe Princess Elizabeth at Epsom.
She was far from disgraced in the Duke Of Cambridge at Royal Ascot before another good effort at Chester latest. This trip is fine and she’ll be right there.
Jabaara looks the biggest threat after her excellent second in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket 19 days ago.
That was over a mile but she picked up two Listed contests over this trip and won’t lack for pace.
Raqiya could make her presence felt if seeing out this longer trip after some good performances over six furlongs.
She ran well in this grade at York latest and can’t be dismissed.
Stop The Cavalry could be open to lots of improvement after a comfortable handicap success at Chester last time.
That was over shorter but she shapes as though this trip will be ideal.
Fair Angellica was a good Listed winner at Deauville and is better than we saw at Royal Ascot.

AESTERIUS was just over a length off the pace in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot and showed his class when taking a Sandown Listed contest earlier this month.
That was just his third run so there’s a lot more to come from this pacey colt.
Celandine didn’t quite last home over six furlongs in a Chantilly Group 2 last time.
This drop in distance gives this front-runner more chance of holding on.
Vingegaard was just pipped in the red-hot Super Sprint at Newbury last time. He was pick of those who made the pace and he’ll be right up there again.
Usdi Atohi has Ryan Moore taking over after her battling Listed win at Tipperary last time. She was in front for a long way and did well to fight off the challengers.
Binadham held his own in the Norfolk Stakes and was a fair third in France last time. He needs to find more but could sneak into the frame.
Soldier’s Heart won over course and distance last time which is a plus at this tricky venue.
Mr Lightside looked speedy at Nottingham and deserves this hike in class.

No Rosallion here but it doesn’t matter for us as NOTABLE SPEECH was my pick anyway.
He was one of several Charlie Appleby horses to have a mare at Royal Ascot and he can show his true colours here.
He was brilliant when beating Rosallion in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket and a repeat of that could take the spoils.
Henry Longfellow can obviously go well for Aidan O’Brien, but the Ballydoyle boss has been running a little short of his usual strike-rate.
Facteur Cheval is no mug and was away from the action in the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot. He is lightly raced for his age and isn’t just making up the numbers here.

ELLADONNA looked ready for this stronger company when winning easily at Salisbury last time.
She was always in control and the booking of Ryan Moore by trainer James Fanshawe is another positive.
Power Of Destiny comes from legend Sir Michael Stoute and has a win over this trip under her belt.
The handicapper has been fair with her opening mark of 87.
Warda Jamila ran at Royal Ascot when 1m4f didn’t suit and she got no luck in running behind the tip last time. She has an each-way shout for Andrew Balding.
Wisper went close at Windsor last time and a 2lb rise in the weights looks fair enough.
There’s The Door can’t be ignored given his liking for this trip and track.
She wasn’t beaten far at Ascot latest and has had a little nudge down the weights.
Al Anoud went close the last time she tackled this distance at Windsor two runs ago and has more to offer.
