I’m trolled for getting a ‘free nose job’ but I have a very good reason – I’ve had five surgeries & I’d have more too
A WOMAN who was savagely attacked by a dog has revealed she’s been trolled for getting free reconstructive surgery on her nose.
Trinity Rowles was just 19 when a 10-stone rescue Pitbull and Bully crossbreed mauled her in September, 2022.
Trinity has been trolled for her free surgery but she has good reason for it[/caption] The pitbull bully mix attacked her as she was walking away[/caption]The trainee nurse was left scarred for life after the horrifying ordeal which took place in Pennsylvania, USA.
The dog attack left Trinity requiring multiple and extensive reconstructive surgeries on her face, including her nose.
Trinity’s dad owned the dog for around five years before the incident, which attached her as she tried to walk away from it.
Now she shares her recovery journey and in once clip recalled the even.
She said: “I fell to the ground and that’s when I felt him starting to bite my nose. I was yelling that he was biting my nose.”
A week after the attack Trinity underwent a skin graft procedure using skin from the top of her forehead and scalp along with cartilage taken from her ear.
The terrifying experience left Trinity with PTSD, which caused her flashbacks, as she struggled to sleep at night as well as needing therapy and medication.
In a video shared to Instagram recently, , she zoomed in on her injury and said: “Another surgery, surgery five. Don’t hate because I’m getting free nose jobs.”
When a follower asked if all of her surgeries were done, Trinity said: “Not quite yet. Redefine, shape more, take out excess cartilage, and dermabrasion for pigmentation.”
Not only has she been trolled about her free surgeries, she also been trolled for her skin graft.
She was cruelly trolled at the beginning of her journey after her nose sprouted hair due to the graft. “Let’s remember to be nice to humans,” she writes in her Instagram bio.
Trinity’s story is followed by thousands on social media with over 2,000 followers on her Instagram account @trinity_rowles.
People were quick to support her in the comments.
One person wrote: “I have (the) same process, sometimes I’m frustrated.”
Who’s entitled to a nose job on the NHS?
In the UK, the National Health Service (NHS) typically covers the cost of nose surgery (rhinoplasty) if it is deemed medically necessary. This includes cases where the surgery is required for health reasons such as:
Breathing Problems: If the structure of the nose is causing significant breathing difficulties, surgery may be approved to correct these issues.
Congenital Defects: Individuals born with congenital abnormalities or deformities that affect the nose may be eligible for surgery.
Injuries: Those who have suffered significant trauma or injury to the nose that affects its function or appearance may qualify for surgery.
Severe Psychological Distress: In some cases, if the appearance of the nose causes severe psychological distress or impacts mental health significantly, the NHS may consider covering the surgery.
Another commented: “You have the best attitude! You’re beautiful, keep being you.”
How many did you have? I think I had 14. Lost count after so many,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “I love your great spirit.”
“No ones hating… you need it,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “It’s healed very nicely.”
