New Greek island hotel with Maldives-like overwater rooms and 22 swimming pools
A BRAND-NEW five-star hotel with overwater Maldives-like rooms and 22 pools has opened on a Greek island.
Located on the Greek island of Zante, the King Jason Hotel opened to the public earlier this year.

There are 22 swimming pools at the King Jason Hotel, including two main pools, one hydro massage pool, one heated indoor pool, six swim-up pools and 12 private pools, with sun loungers surrounding the larger pools.
The cleverly designed infinity pools make it looks like the rooms are floating on the water, somewhat resembling hotels in the Maldives.
Other facilities at the hotel include an Oasis spa that comes complete with a sauna, a hammam and private treatment rooms.
There are 87 rooms at the King Jason Hotel, each decorated with neutral colours, helping to ensure holidaymakers are able to relax.
Brit holidaymakers can book to stay in a Superior Suite, which the website describes as “spacious and bright”.
Deluxe Suites are a little more swanky thanks to their “outstanding views” overlooking the Greek coast.
For the ultimate sense of relaxation, there are also the Island Suites, spacious overwater rooms that come equipped with their very own private pools.
Holidaymakers who’ve worked up an appetite will be pleased to know that the hotel has three restaurants.
Haroūb serves Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, while Pisco is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian grub.
There’s also the Levant, which puts an emphasis on shared dining.
The King Jason Hotel is a 15-minute walk from the nearest beach, which is backed by trendy bars, a watersports centre, laidback tavernas and souvenir shops.
And the newly-opened hotel is already receiving rave reviews from holidaymakers on TripAdvisor.
One person wrote: “The outside space is beautiful. Wherever you go, there’s a swimming area just waiting for you.
“There’s plenty of sun loungers and seating for everyone and after dusk, the subdued lighting turns the space into a romantic oasis.”
Another added: “We had such a lovely, thoroughly relaxing week at this beautiful hotel”
The new hotel is just four miles from Zakynthos International Airport, where direct flights operate from a range of UK cities like Manchester, Birmingham, London and Liverpool.
With its prime position overlooking turquoise waters, stays at the King Jason Hotel in Zante don’t come cheap.
Sun Online Travel have found overnight stays from £230 per night per person, based on two people sharing a superior suite.
OTHER LUXURY HOTELS
Another luxurious hotel in Turkey where Brit holidaymakers can really unwind is the TUI Sensatori Barut Fethiye.
TUI’s Sensatori hotels are five-star resorts that offer what they describe as “premium, all-inclusive experiences”.
Some of its best features include a 24-hour wine and cheese bar and a Lake House Suite, which has its very own “Press for Champagne” button.
Three little-known Greek islands to visit
THERE are plenty of Greek islands to visit, including several little-known spots that are free from the crowds.
- Located in the Dodecanese Sea, Symi is a fairytale-like island home to traditional Greek villages and harbour-front bars and cafes. Reaching the tiny island became a lot more accessible after Jet2 announced the launch of a new route from the UK.
- Despite being twice the size of Mykonos, Tinos is often overlooked by most holidaymakers. But holiday demand for the island is predicted to grow thanks local food and sandy beaches.
- Meanwhile, the island of Paros has a wave of chic new hotels opening. The island has its own airport – making it much easier to visit than some other smaller islands in Greece that can only be accessed by ferry.
Meanwhile, this “secret” Greek island is better and cheaper than Mykonos.
And this Greek holiday island is loved by A-listers.
