LEG 1 Kylian, JM Jungle
KYLIAN is a frustrating sort but he turned in one of his better efforts when second in a Shergar Cup Sprint last time despite losing ground at the start. He was rated 11lb higher this time last year and if he can build on that Ascot run at a track that should suit him, he’ll be going very close in this.
JM Jungle loves York, placed in three big handicaps here last year, including off 5lb higher, which gives him a big chance.
LEG 2 Ruling Court
RULING COURT cost nearly £2million and looked the real deal when pulling clear of a useful field on debut at Sandown. The form has already been franked by the second and third, and there is every chance he could be the new star that Godolphin have been waiting for.
LEG 3 Los Angeles, Illinois
LOS ANGELES was a solid third in the Derby at Epsom back in June. He was still green that day and he gave the impression he had more in his locker, which he proved by winning the Irish Derby last time.
Illinois stuck on gamely to win the 1m6f Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot. He was second at Group 1 level in France over this trip last time and although he’s a leading contender, he may lack the turn of gear to win this.
LEG 4 Zarakem, City Of Troy
ZARAKEM rates a lively outsider in this and has all the potential needed to make the frame.
City Of Troy was more workmanlike than classy when winning a soft-ground Eclipse at Sandown. It’s hard not to forget his dominant win in the Derby, however, and this faster ground will suit him much better than last time.
LEG 5 Great Bedwyn
GREAT BEDWYN was strongest at the finish when third over 1m6f at Glorious Goodwood last time. He’s only up a pound for that and considerable improvement is expected for this stiffer test. He’s lightly raced for his age and could take some stopping.
LEG 6 Boadicia, Jumbeau
BOADICIA looks capable of further progress for a trainer who knows what it takes to turn out a very good sprinter.
Jumbeau should appreciate the return to the minimum trip with handy 3lb claimer Connor Planas in the saddle.
BRODIE’S CHARITY RUN
Tote is thrilled to announce its continued support for Brodie Hampson as she embarks on the final leg of her journey to ride out her claim as an amateur jockey.
She’s already won on Throne Hall, Clifftop Heaven, Wiltshire Wonder, Blue Yonder and She’s A Novelty this season.
And with only five more victories needed to achieve this milestone, Brodie is well on her way to reaching her goal.
Tote has been closely following and supporting Brodie throughout this year, capturing her progress in the exciting video series, ‘Making a Claim’.
Episodes 1 and 2 are now available on Tote’s YouTube channel, showcasing Brodie’s dedication, hard work, and the behind-the-scenes efforts that go into each race.
In a bid to motivate Brodie further, Tote has pledged to donate £1,000 to a charity of Brodie’s choice for each of her remaining five winners.
This generous commitment underscores the Tote’s dedication to supporting its ambassadors and making a positive impact on the wider community.
Brodie Hampson shared her thoughts on this pivotal moment in her career, stating: “This journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful for Tote’s unwavering support.
“Each race brings me closer to my goal and knowing that my wins also contribute to a good cause gives me extra motivation to succeed.”
