Towie’s Dan Edgar confirms ‘big divide’ among cast amid Ella and Harry feud ahead of the new series
TOWIE star Dan Edgar has revealed that the bust up between his girlfriend Ella Rae Wise and Harry Derdidge, has divided the cast of the ITVbe show.
The fallout came to a climax at the end of the last series, after Ella stormed out of Harry’s 30th birthday party, after she’d felt humiliated in his thank you speech.
Having been firm friends their relationship turned frosty when Harry told Dan’s ex Amber Turner about his blossoming romance with Ella Rae.
But now in an interview with OK magazine, Dan Edgar has told how their rowing has caused ructions within the cast, as Harry’s friend Freddie Bentley chose to side with Ella.
Dan said: “Yes, there is a divide. There is a conversation that needs to be had between Ella, Harry and Freddie as well. Harry and Freddie have been friends for so long. It is not my drama to get involved in. But there is a big divide there. I spoke to Harry earlier and he said he missed her.”
In the exclusive interview, Dan, 34, also confirmed that he’s in an exclusive relationship with Ella after coming through a tumultuous, on/off period.
After splitting from Amber Turner in May 2023, Dan appeared to be embarking on a new romace with co-star Ella, which caused friction among cast members loyal to his ex.
Then it seemed their relationship was over before it had begun, after they shut down their feelings at the end of the last series.
The Sun then revealed how Ella was left furious after finding out Dan had hooked up with Hannah Rally while she was in Dubai.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun in July, Ella said that their budding relationship was poisoned by all the background noise.
She said: “When we got home from Bali and when we’d finished filming, I’d still see him and we were pretty close.”
But it did get to the part where communication was lost massively and we were playing things down so much and not actually being 100 per cent truthful with our feelings.”
But the pair seem to have rekindled their romance under the Cypriot sun, as they were seen getting close during cast nights out during the new series which was filmed in Cyprus.
Now Dan has confirmed that the pair are an item. He said: “I am not speaking to anyone [else] and she isn’t. When we are filming, we’re around each other a lot, but the break in filming changes things a bit. But we spoke a lot during the break. We are seeing if we can get back to where we were – I get on really well with her and Freddie [Bentley].”
And Dan even admits that he has met Ella’s mum and Ella has met the dog whom he shares with ex, Amber.
She hasn’t met my mum. My mum wants the best for me, but they haven’t met yet so she can’t make a judgement. She has met the dog – that is about it! It didn’t get to the ‘meet the parents’ stage, but I met her mum because we had a scene at her house. It is undeniable that we get on so well and it forced us to have a conversation we hadn’t had before.
We were both playing it down. Before, I hadn’t spent much time around her but she surprised me and I didn’t expect to get on with her as well as I did.
