I’m 42 but look younger – I’ve never used anti-aging products, I have a ‘relaxed’ skincare regimen with 4 items
A BEAUTY fan has shared her straightforward skincare routine that keeps her skin youthful.
She credited the regimen, which only contains four products, for being able to pass for younger than she is.

“I’m 42 and look younger than that,” she said.
“If I tried harder to be fashionable, I could probably pass for early 30s.”
She said that while genetics and her neighborhood’s cloudy climate played a big part in her healthy skin, her skincare routine did a lot of heavy lifting.
After a few “unsuccessful” attempts at oil cleansing, which caused her to break out, she dialed back on a simple regimen.
“My routine has been in flux lately,” she said.
“I just started back on a relaxed version of the Acne.org regimen.”
Her routine, she revealed, includes using a mild, olive-oil soap and 2% benzoyl peroxide to treat acne.
Her two other staples include the “occasional” Alpha hydroxy acid lotion to treat whiteheads and a go-to moisturizer, with a few drops of jojoba oil for extra moisture when necessary.
The easy routine, she explained, keeps wrinkles at bay without expensive cosmetic procedures.
“I’ve never used ‘anti-aging’ products other than the AHA,” she said.
“No botox or fillers, though I have a little wrinkle between my brows that could probably benefit from a jab.”
On top of her routine, she raved about the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle.
She avoids the sun and routinely wore sunscreen throughout her 20s.

“Never smoking” was also big factor in her skin’s health.
“I never had kids (for reasons completely unrelated to concerns about visible aging),” she added.
“The lack of sleepless nights, stress from parenting, etc. has probably saved me a few wrinkles.”
A steady commitment to wellness and meditation also helped her relieve daily stressors.
“I’ve also practiced Buddhism for the last 13 years and have done a lot to reduce my tendency toward anger,” she said.
