Amazon offers three free Lord of the Rings games to subscribers to celebrate Rings of Power

AMAZON has a great range of entertainment options, including offerings like Prime Gaming and Prime Video.

These are two benefits that you can claim if you subscribe to Amazon Prime, alongside the benefits for the online store.

As the name suggests, Prime Video offers subscribers access to a library of TV shows and films, while Prime Gaming offers people free games to download every month, as well as in-game items for popular live-service games.

The second season of The Lord of the Rings show Rings of Power will join Prime Video on August 29, and to celebrate, Prime Gaming is offering subscribers access to three free games.

All of the games available via Prime Gaming are based on Lord of the Rings, and include some highly rated games.

The Middle-earth series is possibly the most popular gaming series based on Lord of the Rings, and both games are now available for free via Prime Gaming.

The original game, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, has an incredible rating of 87 on review aggregate site Metacritic, while the follow-up, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, is rated an impressive 81.

These are open-world games, where you choose a class to take down different Orc factions.

Each high-ranking Orc has a number of strengths and weaknesses and these are randomised each time you play, giving a high level of replayability.

People praise the series for the enemy AI, as these high-ranking characters will remember your actions and act differently towards you.

They will also comment on things you have done in the past, which will change how aggressive they are.

The final game available via Prime Gaming is Lego The Lord of the Rings, a family-friendly platformer where you control characters from the films.

There are two different methods for claiming these games depending on which ones you want to play.

Both methods require linking your Amazon account with a Prime subscription to Prime Gaming, which allows you to redeem free games.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Lego The Lord of the Rings are available via a GoG code.

You can then sign up for a free GoG account, redeem the codes, and download the games directly to your computer.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is available via cloud streaming on Amazon Luna.

Amazon Luna is an app that is free to download for Prime subscribers, but it will require a strong internet connection in order to play.
