I make £130k doing a job nobody wants – people say they’d put their fears aside for the cash
WE’VE all thought “you couldn’t pay me enough to do that” about certain jobs.
One man revealed the high-paying position he has that makes most people squirm.
In a viral video, TikTok user Daniella Atkinson (@daniella_atk) interviewed the unnamed man, who revealed his unique job.
The man explained that he works as a window cleaner on high rise buildings.
Based in Vancouver, he shared that he earns the equivalent of £34 per hour.
On average, the window cleaner takes home around £130,000 each year.
He explained that his work is based on each job, meaning he has the ability to earn overt-time.
“We get paid by piecework so the more I work, the more money I make,” he said.
The window washer revealed that his passion for rock climbing is what led him to the interesting career.
“I started as a rock climber and I tried to do it for a living but it doesn’t really pay to be rock climber so this is the next best thing,” he said.
As well as his higher earnings, the man shared another appealing aspect to his job.
He said that he gets to spend time by himself and listens to music all day.
However, he did joke that he is at constant risk of getting pooed on by birds.
TikTok users shared their thoughts on the unique job in the comments section.
“£34 per hour?! Oh look, I’m no longer terrified of heights,” wrote one viewer.
“£34 an hour, can listen to music, work alone, and I find window cleaning therapeutic. How do I sign up?” asked another follower.
“Why is it becoming my possible dream job?” joked a third person.
