PlayStation Plus subscribers can pick up a day-one release for free even at the cheapest tier
PLAYSTATION offers players of its subscription service free games every month, but this month is particularly special.
The cheapest tier, PlayStation Plus Essentials, allows subscribers to download and keep up to three games every month as long as their subscription is active.
Play as any position you like in Quidditch Champions[/caption]However, this often means that they are older or smaller games as this is closer to ownership rather than renting games from a subscription library.
In September, PS Plus Essentials players will be able to pick up three games including one completely new release.
From September 3, subscribers will be able to pick up Harry Potter Quidditch Champions.
This is the game’s release date on all platforms so they’ll be able to be some of the first to play it.
Fans loved Hogwarts Legacy when it launched in 2023, but were disappointed that they couldn’t play the popular wizarding sport, Quidditch.
That’s because Quidditch Champions was already in development, and now there is less than a week left before it is released.
It features both single and multiplayer modes, and players can pick any of the main Quidditch positions: chaser, seeker, beater, and keeper.
As most other Harry Potter games put you in the role of Harry, people could usually play only in the seeker role.
The next game available for download in September is MLB: The Show 24, which is the most recent release in the baseball game series.
Released in March of this year, it’s the most up-to-date version of gaming’s most popular baseball simulation series.
The final game that is available for subscribers this month is Little Nightmares 2.
This horror 3D puzzle platformer is highly praised, receiving an impressive 83 rating on review aggregate site Metacritic.
It is twice as long as the original cult hit game, and it’s the perfect time for people to catch up on the series.
The sequel, Little Nightmares 3, was just announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live so players can get a taste before the next release in the series.
All of the PS Plus Essentials games for September are playable on both PS4 and PS5.
If you have a subscription and want to pick any of the games up, all you need to do is search for them in the PlayStation Store via your console.
From September 3, there should be a button that will allow you to download the game for free.
There’s also a convenient Monthly Games section on the PS Plus home screen from which you can check and claim this month’s free games.
