Kraken launches limited edition dark spiced rum in new twist on classic fan favourite – here’s where you can buy it
A LIMITED edition rum has quickly become a fan favourite with rum lovers already stocking up.
Kraken Rum has put a sweet and salty twist on its classic spiced rum.
The new limited edition indulgent dark caramel and Cornish Sea Salt features alluring toffee notes and a buttery vanilla finish.
Named afther the sea beast, Kraken Rum is strong, rich, black and smooth and the new flavour twist is a hit with booze lovers who have taken to Facebook to rave about it.
Commenting on the Kraken Rum Facebook page, one person said: “Love this one. Sort of a toffee coffee flavour.”
Another person said: “I have already charged a few glasses to this delight.”
Meanwhile a third person said: “I don’t usually like the flavoured versions, but this one was spot on.
“It’d be good to keep it as a regular version.”
The new flavour has become an instant hit, with other stating they’ve already bought two bottles of the dark rum.
One person added: “Got mine today. Two bottles to be sure.”
Kraken Dark Caramel and Cornish Sea Salt s available to purchase from Amazon.co.uk and House of Spirits and will launch in-store at Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons in September.
It comes days after a popular US vodka brand announced it would bring four different flavours to the UK.
Vodka lovers will be able to purchase White Claw Vodka in premium (unflavoured), Black Cherry, Pineapple and Mango, and is designed to inspire people to connect with others.
The flavours are designed to be mixed with any of White Claw’s refreshing hard seltzer range.
Since its debut into the US Spirits category in 2023, White Claw Vodka has garnered significant acclaim, including a Double Gold for its unflavoured Premium variant at the New York International Spirits Competition.
All four White Claw Vodka flavours will be available in the UK from September 20, at uk.whiteclaw.com for £21.
The introduction of White Claw Vodka comes days after a famous tequila brand made it’s UK debut.
