‘Run to B&M’ shoppers cry as end of summer sale is on with PS4 games, movie night essentials & kids toys starting at £1
MONEY-SMART shoppers are scrambling to their local B&M after the popular retailer slashed the prices for numerous items.
With summer now, unfortunately, coming to an end, many brands on the high street are running massive sales to get rid of any unsold stock – and B&M are no exception.
Whether you’re after toys or PS4 games, the huge retailer has something for everyone[/caption]The beloved retailer, which has more than a whopping 700 stores across the UK, has cut the prices for a wide range of goodies across the aisles, including toys and even movie night essentials.
Some delighted customers have taken to Facebook to show off their monster hauls, where items were going for as little as a quid.
Amongst these is the Goodmans film projector now retailing for £1, instead of the full price of £69.
One cash-savvy shopper spotted the bargain buy on sale and posted it on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, writing: “Goodmans projector scanning through as £1 in B&M.”
One person commented: “Go grab me one.”
Another said: “Check these tomorrow.”
The B&M website is selling the Goodmans Mini Projector for £49.00, however stock will vary.
The incredible bargain buy, which is perfect for movie marathons as we enter the autumn season, is capable of displaying a picture up to 150″ wide, and is compatible with TV smart boxes and sticks, such as Now TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Google Chromecast, and Roku.
What’s more, the projector can also work with satellite or cable boxes such as Sky, Virgin, BT, games consoles, USB sticks, USB hard drives, DVD & Blu-Ray players, laptops, smartphones and tablets.
If you need more convincing to check out the cut-price goodies, another shopper revealed they’d managed to snap up a PS4 game for £1.
The game, called YouTubers Life 2, was originally going for a fiver and sells for more than £6 on Amazon.
With an impressive rating of 4.1 stars, the game is perfect for the little ones aspiring to become a YouTube sensation – they can ”edit, and publish high-quality videos to get your first subscribers and views, and make money in no time”.
One mum wrote under the post: ”Hope mine has it my little lad would. Love it.”
Another reckoned it would make for the best gift ”if the boys are getting PlayStations this Christmas”.
How to save money at B&M
Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M's scanner app.
The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.
Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.
The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.
Here’s how you can join the B&M bargain hunt:
- Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
- Once you’ve installed it on your device, click on the option labelled “more” on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
- You’ll then find an option that says “barcode scanner”. Click on this and you’ll open a camera screen.
- Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
- If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
- You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.
Speaking of toys that are sure to be a major hit for kids, B&M have also introduced a new range of goodies even for the smallest ones, such as bath unicorns.
Taking to the popular page, which has more than 2.2million members, one shopper, Ellie Allen, said: ”Bath unicorns, bath dinosaurs and bubbles from B&M.”
The five-pack of bubble tubs, all in different colours, cost her an affordable £3, while the six-pack of unicorn bath toys set her back a mere £2.49.
Meanwhile, if your children are slightly older, we reckon B&M’s Ring Toss Game is a bargain to pick up next time you’re visiting the store.
Retailing for a purse-friendly £5, the game is ideal for beach days or whilst playing in the garden, as we’re soaking up the last bit of sun.
