‘So basic but works wonders’ the £6 Superdrug cream that Maya Jama swears by for her glowy skin as she poses au naturel
MAYA Jama may have rung in her 30th birthday last month, but her skin wouldn’t give that away.
In fact, the presenter swears by a Superdrug cream that she describes as “so basic and normal” but does “wonders” for her face.
She has flawless skin despite her busy schedule… and it’s thanks to a bargain skincare buy[/caption]When asked about her skincare routine, Maya revealed that her rituals include a mix of boujie and budget options.
“I don’t use loads of products,” she assured.
“I do get facials.
“I see Shane Cooper once a month and he uses HydraFacial, LED light therapy and this collagen-boosting warm device [radiofrequency].”
But where moisturiser is concerned, Maya shared in a British Vogue interview that she likes to strip things back to basic.
“When it comes to cream, I’m using CeraVe,” she said.
“Which is so basic and normal but it has been doing wonders for my skin.
“I think sometimes simpler products help.
“As a night serum, I also douse myself in Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate before bed.”
The CeraVe Moisturising Cream for Dry to Very Dry Skin can be picked up for as little as £6 for a 50ml tube.
A 177ml tube will set you back £11.49, and can be nabbed in most high-street beauty retailers – including Superdrug and Boots.
It’s clear the cream does everything Maya says it does, as she posed au naturel on Instagram last night and her complexion had an enviable luminosity to it.
CeraVe bosses said: “CeraVe Moisturising Cream includes three essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid to effectively hydrate the skin and protect the skin’s protective barrier.
“Developed with dermatologists, this rich yet non-greasy cream was formulated with our patented MVE Technology to ensure a continuous release of hydration for up to 24 hours.”

Maya also made her own reach into the world of skincare when she launched MIJ Masks in 2020.
The company is now defunct after flogging infused sheet masks and gel eye patches, but the Love Island presenter hasn’t totally ruled out reviving it.
She still has the brand tagged in her Instagram bio, even though the last post on the account was in May.
“I also have my own MIJ Masks and I swear by them,” Maya told British Vogue in 2023.
“I use one two or three times a week, depending how I feel, and I use my eye masks every morning on my way to work.
“It just gives you a bit of extra hydration, and I think make-up sits better when you’ve had them on.”
