The McDonald’s opened back in 1990, and is often said to be one of the most beautiful in the world.
It closed back in January 2024 due to renovation work – and has finally reopened.
Many of the original features have been resorted, which includes the antique lamps and painted stucco ceilings.
The vintage design has huge glass windows around the entire building, as well as copper-covered light fixtures.
Along with the more modern designs including touch screen kiosks, diners can even watch the food conveyor belt between the two levels of the kitchen a “unique” feature to the McDonald’s.
Otherwise food can be ordered via the app, and even get it delivered to the table.
The McCafe also has a new outdoor terrace, and has been moved to the entrance level.
Zsolt Égi , managing director of Progress Étteremhárosl Kft., which operates McDonald’s restaurants in Hungary, said that it was one of their “most impressive restaurants”.
They added: “Nyugati tér McDonald’s opened 34 years ago, in 1990, and is considered one of the most beautiful McDonald’s restaurants in the world.
“We renovated it in half a year, so that we could stay true to this heritage.
“During the transformation, we used many solutions that are considered unique in the McDonald’s system worldwide, as well as elements made of real, natural building materials.”
One of the more unique food options is the Goosey Gustav burger, which has foie gras on top.
Others have raved about having options such as gluten-free buns.
And previous diners have been left stunned by the McDonald’s.
One person said: “The interior is absolutely beautiful and looks more like a restaurant in a 5 star hotel.”
