Corrie star’s ‘free-floating mum boobs’ to Hollywood hunk who can’t stop flashing – celeb skinny dippers making a splash
WHEN you have the body of a Hollywood star, you’re going to want to show it off – and this lot definitely want to!
Dua Lipa has unwittingly become the pin-up girl for British naturism – after listing Cornwall’s notorious nudist hotspot, Pedn Vounder beach, as one of her favourite places.
Her endorsement could certainly do wonders for those who like to strip off.
Andrew Welch, spokesman for representative body British Naturism, said: “Things have certainly improved with an unfreezing of attitudes and a more grown-up approach to the basic simple human body.
“We are experiencing a good increase in acceptance and also participation. But we have often said that there is still a perception that it’s on the fringes of society.
“If a good-looking, well-known, young female says, ‘This is the best thing I’ve ever done’, I could hang up my boots because there’s credibility that goes along with it.”
But some celebs really do have a penchant for taking their kit off and going skinny dipping – in fact, even 89-year-old Mary Berry opened up recently about her love for swimming starkers!
Here, we reveal the stars who are happy to let it all hang out…
Orlando Bloom
Orlando Bloom, 47, infamously went completely nude for a spot of paddle boarding with his wife Katy Perry in 2016.
Of the moment, the Hollywood actor told Elle magazine: “We’d been completely alone for five days. Nothing around us. There was no way anyone could get anything. So I had a moment of feeling free.
“What can I tell you? Note to self: you’re never free. Ha!”
But that’s not the only time he’s dared to bare all. In 2021, he stripped off again as he went for a dip in a river, sharing the pictures of his naked behind on Instagram.
And this time, some of his followers, including supermodel Helena Christensen, pointed out there were others around.
Noticing a group of fully clothed people presumably watching on awkwardly, she commented: “That family on the other side.” Quite an eyeful!
Rylan Clark
Like Orlando, Rylan Clark is another repeat offender.
On his final night in the Celebrity Big Brother house, the TV host, 35, jumped into the pool starkers, along with Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock, for a midnight swim.
Meanwhile, Neighbours star Ryan Moloney – who was fully clothed in a tuxedo – watched on, singing: “I see you baby, shaking that ass!”
Despite Rylan suddenly panicking about the underwater cameras, he got the taste for skinny dipping, and did it again in 2022.
This time, it was with TV hosts Alan Carr and Angelica Bell, as well as Holby City actor David Ames, following a boozy night of dancing and karaoke at his house.
He’s not the only reality star, either, with Love Islander Montana Brown sharing a steamy sunset snap of herself starkers.
Rihanna
When Rihanna, 36, went on holiday in Hawaii in 2012, she looked like she had an amazing time, and wanted everyone to know about it, posting 150 pictures from the trip on Facebook.
While there, she managed to pack in paddle boarding, bodyboarding, horseback riding and swam with dolphins.
And she even whipped off her bikini for a spot of skinny dipping, as she splashed around under a waterfall.
There was definitely no need for an Umbrella!
Fellow pop star Camila Cabello clearly approved, too, as she shared a sizzling shot of her in a similar pose in an outdoor shower after splitting from Shawn Mendes.
Kate Moss
In 2022, Kate Moss skinny dipped in a river to promote her beauty brand COSMOSS.
Sharing a video of herself fully naked, from behind, diving into the water, she said: “Follow me to COSMOSS.”
The supermodel’s many followers showered her with praise for the naked moment.
One fan wrote: “If it makes your bum look that good I’m getting some.”
Kate Humble
Springwatch presenter Kate Humble, 55, is all about nature and wildlife, so it makes sense that she loves stripping off.
“Sometimes you’re in a very beautiful place and there is something very celebratory about just having a little nudey dance,” she told The Times.
In fact, she admitted she thinks everyone should give naturism a go.
She added: “There’s something joyous about it and I urge everyone to try it.
“My husband and I danced naked in the middle of the desert in Jordan once.
“If you can’t get your kicks in that incredibly innocent, joyful way, then the world is not a good place.”
Nicole Kidman
When Nicole Kidman is by a beach, it seems she has to strip off and jump in on a daily basis.
And that’s exactly what she did while filming Big Little Lies with Meryl Streep and Reese Witherspoon.
Presenting an award to Nicole at the American Film Institute Life Achievement Award Gala earlier this year, Meryl said: “Reese told me the very first night we were up in Monterey, before we started shooting, she said, ‘You know what she does?’
“I said, ‘No, Nicole?’ She goes, ‘Yeah, you know what she does? She goes out at 5, before dawn, and she goes skinny-dipping behind the hotel in the ocean.’”
George Clooney
An invite to George Clooney’s Lake Como mansion sounds like it would be lovely – but expect to go skinny dipping if it ever happens!
His Ides of March co-star Marisa Tomei told Conan O’Brien she and Evan Rachel Wood had taken part in the naked activity while staying at his Italian abode.
George then told Us Weekly: “It’s a tradition at my house!
“It’s funny. Some people skinny dip, but I always go upstairs and put a suit on and then I jump in the lake.”
He continued: “Let me tell you. First I got Walter Cronkite to jump in. Then I got David Gergen to jump in. And I used Walter Cronkite to get Gergen to jump in.
“And I used Marisa and Evan in the lake to get Charlie Rose to jump in.”
Kit Harington
While many people enjoy a spot of skinny dipping, Kit Harington has confessed he has “an addiction” to the cheeky activity.
The Game of Thrones star added to E! News: “I’m a nudist at heart.”
And while fellow curly-haired actor Orlando managed to get photographed while he was paddle boarding naked, Kit has been lucky so far.
He continued: “I’ve not been caught by the paprazzi yet!”
Catherine Tyldesley
Former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has admitted she loves skinny dipping – and went in 2021 during a quiet time.
Speaking on Russell Kane’s Are Men More Reckless Than Women? podcast, she said: “I went skinny dipping not that long ago but it was dead at the time, it was really, really quiet.
“There’s nothing like skinny dipping, it’s great. You feel so free.”

Catherine added how she’d actually go skinny dipping even more often than she already does, if she wasn’t in the public eye.
She said: “I think I would. It’s quite a natural thing. It’s lovely.”
