Teen, 16, ‘shot mum dead as she desperately tried to protect her two children while he was on bail for attempted murder’
A TEEN shot a mum dead as she desperately tried to shield her two children while he was on bail for attempted murder, a court heard.
Lianne Gordon, 42, was blasted through her front door at home in Hackney, East London, just weeks before Christmas.

The Old Bailey heard Lianne was the unintended victim of a dispute between two gangs.
A 17-year-old boy, who was aged 16 at the time, is on trial accused of murder and the attempted murders of two people on the same day.
Jurors were told the fatal shooting was the culmination of a string of incidents involving the teen and 21-year-old co-defendant Elijah Seriki.
The pair are believed to have been associated with Hackney’s Pembury Gang, who were in an “escalating dispute” with the A-Road Gang of Hackney’s Amhurst Road, it is said.
On October 1, the pair had allegedly threatened Lianne’s son Kaymound Gordon, 21, with a knife as he sat on his doorstep.
The court was told Kaymound, who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair, was associated with the rival A-Road Gang.
He lived at home with mum Lianne and his 16-year-old sister.
On December 5, he was in the shower when his sibling discovered their mum shot on the floor.
Prosecutor Mark Fenhalls KC said: “Lianne Gordon was sheltering behind her front door at home when (the youth) shot and killed her on 5 December last year.
“She was almost certainly not the target. But her tragic death was the culmination of an escalating dispute between two gangs. That dispute involved both (the youth) and Elijah Seriki.
“Lianne Gordon was 42 years old when she was murdered. Both her children were at home when this happened.
“Her daughter emerged from her bedroom to see her mother slump to the ground after she had been shot through the front door, and was with her as her mother died.
“The obvious devastation for her children and wider family is something that will strike you.”
The court heard the teen boy was on bail for an attempted murder and banned from entering the area at the time.
His family had also moved away in June 2022 to try to distance him from the gang, it was said.
When he was arrested for Lianne’s murder, he said: “This allegation is so dumb, I’m not even allowed to go in that area.”
The court was told the boy has a list of previous convictions dating back to when he was 15 years old.
Seriki also has previous convictions from the age of 15 relating to drugs and weapons, including a Zombie knife, jurors heard.
The pair both deny the charges against them and the trial continues.
