Kerry Katona admits she ‘didn’t like’ pal Katie Price’s Jordan alter-ego and reveals she persuaded her to do OnlyFans
KERRY Katona has revealed she “didn’t like” her good pal Katie Price as her alter ego Jordan.
But the Atomic Kitten star said they hit it off after they met on I’m A Celeb in 2004 – when Kerry won it and Katie met her first husband Peter Andre.
She made the comments as she defended mum-of-five Katie, 46, in upcoming Channel 5 documentary Katie Price: Where Did All the Money Go?, which airs tomorrow night (September 8).
Kerry, 44, says: “I wasn’t keen on Jordan at all. I didn’t like Jordan. But then I met Kate in the jungle and then I got to see Kate and I love Kate.”
The documentary will examine how OnlyFans model Katie – said to have once been worth £45million – blew her fortune and got declared bankrupt twice.
Katie was first declared bankrupt in 2019 owing creditors £3.2million, then again earlier this year over a £760,000 unpaid tax bill.
She had her Mucky Mansion near Horsham, West Sussex, repossessed after failing to keep up with mortgage repayments and has been ordered to pay out 40 per cent of her earnings to creditors.
Katie has been blasted for failing to attend previous hearings, and she was arrested at Heathrow last month after returning from a holiday to Turkey – causing her to miss a High Court bankruptcy hearing.
But Kerry has leapt to her defence – and suggested life in the public glare has played a part in her downfall.
Referencing Katie’s third husband Kieran Hayler‘s affair with her former best pal Jane Pountney, Kerry says: “Before you all start picking her apart, imagine if that was you.
“Imagine your husband’s having an affair with your best friend – you’d be mortified. Absolutely mortified.
“You probably won’t even want your friends and family to know.
“But then the whole world knows about it and everyone’s following you everywhere.
“You’d never leave your house. But we have a job to do. This is what we do for a living.”
In the doc, Kerry also talks about how she convinced former Page 3 model Katie to start selling content on adult subscription site OnlyFans.
She adds: “I introduced Kate to it.
“I was like, ‘Kate, do it. Honest to God you’d be stupid not to. The pictures you’re putting on Instagram, why don’t you just put them on OnlyFans and make money off it?’”
