I’m a football WAG and bagged the perfect autumn bag in Primark – I was stunned by the price
A FOOTBALL WAG has revealed the on-trend Primark buy she’s snapped up for her ‘mini moon’ with her footballer beau – and it’s only £14.
Jilly Cross, from Glasgow, is married to ex-Rangers and current Motherwell star Andy Halliday.

With her famous beau’s wages and her own fashion brand Dula, Jilly has an impressive clothing and accessories collection.
But she still likes to hit the high street for bargain buys too.
And she popped into Primark to pick up a brown handbag for a romantic trip to Stockholm, Sweden, with her new hubby.
She said: “You will die when you find out where this bag’s from. Primark.
“Suede one side, leather the other. Are you actually joking?
“I can’t really remember how much it was, but it’s Primark, so super affordable.”
Jilly completed her look with a white Zara vest, Levi jeans, flip flops and an ASOS rugby shirt draped over her shoulders.
Her £14 shoulder bag is also available in black, and features a zip fastening.
Describing the on-trend accessory on their website, Primark bosses say: “Meet your new go-to accessory – our slouchy shopper bag!
“Made from a chic faux suede fabric in brown, this bag combines style and practicality effortlessly.
“Its spacious inner pouch is perfect for stowing away all your essentials, while the adjustable strap ensures a comfortable fit no matter how this garment is worn.
“Whether you’re heading to a market or meeting your bestie for a casual coffee, this versatile shopper bag is ready to accompany you with its chic, laidback vibe.”
Jilly and Andy had an intimate wedding ceremony with under 30 guests in her parents’ back garden in July.
It comes after the down-to-earth pair made things official at City Chambers in Glasgow and got a lift back to their reception in Jilly’s uncle’s black cab.
It wasn’t just their venue and guest list that was laidback, either.
The new Mr & Mrs Halliday picked mozzarella sticks, penne arrabbiata and chips as part of their wedding menu.
And Jilly snubbed a designer wedding dress in favour of a classic frock and white blazer from her own fashion brand Dula.
She completed her outfit with a mini veil and a pair of her mum’s Chanel heels from the 90s which she hailed as her “something borrowed” for the day.
Jilly revealed her look and details of the ‘secret’ wedding on social media, leaving fans of the famous couple open-mouthed.
One said: “Love how you just do your own thing.”
“What a beautiful way you’ve done it! Perfect and so modest”, wrote another person.
“The real royal wedding”, chimed in a third.
A fourth said: “Wearing your own brand on your wedding day is iconic.”
Meanwhile, a fifth echoed: “Getting married in your own design is such a FLEX. Congrats Jilly we love you.”
Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?
JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it's down to four points.
- They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
- They “do very little advertising”
- While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
- And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.
