We transformed our boring kitchen in 2 hours using an £11 buy – trolls said it wouldn’t last but it still looks amazing
A HOMEOWNER has left people stunned after revealing how well her £11 transformation of her kitchen has lasted.
Ellie originally took to TikTok to share a slideshow of pictures showing how she’d transformed her neutral kitchen into something more to her taste.
While trolls, and Ellie, said the tiles wouldn’t last, they have done so four months later[/caption]She added that as she is getting married this year, the tiles that she actually wants are out of the question because they’re so expensive.
So she went for the peel and stick tiles as a budget alternative.
“These peel and stick tiles have COMPLETELY transformed the space,” she wrote on the original TikTok video.
“SO easy to use, did the whole kitchen in under two hours!”
While the majority of people commenting on the video praised her room transformation, there were those who thought the tiles wouldn’t last.
“One thing you have to be careful of is they aren’t heat resistant so be careful with heat next to the hob,” one warned.
As another grumbled: “Before was nicer”.
Ellie then returned to the social media site to share an update on the tiles four months later.
“Genuinely so shocked to say there has not been a single lift (even behind the hob!)” she wrote.
Ellie added that as well as being “super easy to keep clean”, they’ve also “kept their glossy shine”, meaning they “still look the same as day one”.
“Thought we’d probably have to replace by now given how cheap they are – but it’s safe to say these are here to stay,” she continued.
“Cannot recommend enough for people who want to spruce up their space on a budget.”
Captioning the TikTok slideshow, she wrote: “We all deserve the kitchen of our dreams without breaking the bank!!”
The tiles are actually from Temu, with equally impressed people taking to the reviews section on the site to share their thoughts about them.
“Oh my God these are glorious!” one insisted.
“They look so real they’re so thick rubber effect!!!
