I found a $1.25 Dollar Tree dupe for Laneige’s $24 lip masks – its lasting power shocked me, forget elevated price tags
A BARGAIN hunter has proven that she can get the perfect pout without the price tag with her Dollar Tree dupe.
Now she was using those lips to tell everyone how she had paid just a fraction of the cost for the long-lasting frugal find.
Kellie Flanagan, pictured, shared how she found a dupe of Laneige’s $24 lip masks at Dollar Tree for a fraction of the price[/caption] The much pricier Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, pictured, sells for $24 at Sephora[/caption]In a now-viral video, TikToker Kellie Flanagan (@klf_skincare), shared how she had scored a much cheaper alternative to Laneige’s $24 lip masks at Dollar Tree.
All she needed was the $1.25 B-Pure Hydrating Night Lip Mask for all of the moisturizing benefits without the money-spending splurge.
“I believe a good product is all about formulation and goes beyond fancy packaging or an elevated price tag,” she told The U.S. Sun.
And that wasn’t all of the beauty bang she was getting for her buck.
“Its lasting power shocked me, keeping my lips hydrated overnight or during the day with a slight pink tone as it comes out of the packaging,” she said.
“It doesn’t have any color pigment to it when applied on the lips so it’s great to use any time of day,” she added.
She knew she had found a keeper – it’s safe to say her pout-saving find can probably be found in her purse most of the time.
“Even now to this day, I still find myself reaching for it, and for $1.25, you can’t beat this beauty deal!” she said.
She shared how the packaging looked familiar to the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Lip Sleeping Mask, but it was what was inside that really counted.
“In terms of the actual formula and consistency, it reminded me of the original Laneige lip mask formulation which typically comes in a small pot-size container,” she said.
She knew not to be fooled by the fact that her dollar deal came in a tube.
It was love at first lip treatment dupe sight – as soon as she squeezed the tube to release the product, it was an “immediate yes,” from her.
Composed of hyaluronic acid, the secret is getting out that the buy is a dupe for the masks from the much pricier brand.
And for good reason.
“It doesn’t claim to have a scent or fragrance claim, but I feel it’s closest to cherry or berry just like Laneige,” she said.
“I really love this formula more than I thought and it’s a great find at the Dollar Tree,” she added.
Finnegan is certainly no stranger to finding Dollar Tree steals.
“I love looking for affordable dupes at Dollar Tree. My personal beauty collection contains a variety of products – from drugstore to high-end brands and everything else in between,” she said.
“But my true passion lies in looking for affordable products that actually work,” she added.
She now enjoys spreading her love of spending less on her social media channels.
Others were certainly keeping up with her tips.
“Just got one,” said a watcher.
“Dreamy,” another commented.
