Cardi B gives birth to third child and shares adorable first pics amid split with husband Offset
CARDI B has given birth to her third child after splitting from rapper husband Offset.
The music star welcomed her daughter last week but only announced the happy news on Instagram overnight.
Cradling her little girl with a big smile on her face, Cardi wrote: “The prettiest lil thing.”
Famous pals Megan Thee Stallion and Serena Williams sent her their congratulations in the comments as did thousands of fans.
Offset and their two young children – Kulture, five, and Wave, two – joined Cardi in hospital where they marvelled over the newborn.
The new mum laid on her side as she admired her ex doting on their third child.
She breastfed and nursed the tot, looking impressively glamorous while doing so.
It was just last month that Cardi filed for divorce from Offset.
Though this isn’t the first time Cardi, 31, has separated from her baby daddy, sources told the outlet that this time is final.
It was also reported that Cardi is seeking primary custody of their children.
Offset, 32, was previously accused of cheating on Cardi; however, insiders claimed that’s not the reason for the split.
“They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else. This is something she wants to do,” the source told Page Six.
The source also claimed that the divorce didn’t catch Offset off guard as they’ve “been trying to figure out what their future looks like for a while now.”
“It’s not something that happened overnight… They’ve both been on the same page. There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart, and that feeling has gotten stronger over time. It’s become unavoidable,” the insider said.
RELATIONSHIP STRUGGLES
Cardi made their issues apparent in an interview in May, when she called their marriage “complicated.”
The New York native claimed to be single despite her and Offset making numerous public appearances together in recent months.
Cardi initially filed for divorce in September 2020 after accusing Offset of cheating during their marriage, but later backtracked her claims.
In early July, the Bodak Yellow singer’s nemesis Bia, 32, alluded to Offset’s alleged infidelity in a diss track.

The rapper implied that the Atlanta native slept with another woman in the home they shared.
Offset later denied the claims.
Cardi and the Migos rapper have been married since 2017.
The Grammy Award winner is now focused on moving forward and leaving the past behind.
“She has no ill-will towards him,” a source told Page Six.
“She’s wishing him the best. She’s not going into this next season [of her life] with any beef or any drama. She wants everything to be very peaceful.”
