Three savvy tips for landing a great High Street deal on your birthday
IT is the busiest month for birthdays – which makes September the perfect time to bag a bonus perk.
But no matter when your big day falls, there are lots of ways to get an extra gift.
We have four savvy tips on how to save money and brighten your home with artificial flowers[/caption]Check out these great offers and you’ll have more to celebrate . . .
TICK THE BOX: Get birthday deals by signing up to newsletters, websites or mailing lists.
Shopping expert Sarah-Jane Outten, of MyVoucherCodes, says: “You’ll probably need to opt in to marketing emails to get your free birthday voucher or discount offer.”
She suggests creating an email used only for newsletter sign-ups to save your inbox from being spammed.
She adds: “You’ll have lots of lovely surprises to choose from on your special day — and in the weeks before and after in some cases, too.”
TOP OF THE SHOPS: Look out for shops that give you birthday discounts.
You can get 15 per cent off at New Look on your special day when you sign up for an account.
Sign up to become an H&M member for 25 per cent off one item for your birthday.
Join the C.Club at Claire’s and you’ll get a £5 voucher for your big day to spend on accessories.
Create an Oliver Bonas account to get £5 off your first order online or in-store, and newsletter subscribers get a further £5 off on their birthday on a £20 spend.
DEAL’S A BEAUTY: If you join The Body Shop’s Love Your Body club, you can get a £5 pampering birthday voucher.
You should also be in line for a gift if you’ve got a Superdrug Health & Beautycard.
With a Boots Advantage card, you should be notified at the start of your birthday month that you can get double advantage points for the whole of that month.
That makes it a great time to treat yourself or stock up on essentials or gifts for others.
