But he appeared to be injury-free as he was spotted leaving the Emirates.
Footage of Timber happily posing for photos with fans and seemingly being unimpaired as he moved around was captured after the match.
The accompanying caption for the video, which was shared on X, read: “Timber, subbed at half-time, looks fine.
“Happily posing with fans after.”
Arsenal fans worldwide breathed a huge sigh of relief, with one replying to the video: “Really good news if it was just a management sub.”
Another said: “Just managing his minutes, I think.”
And another said: “Whew.”

Another chimed in: “Load management. My gaffer is learning.”
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta further allayed fans’ fears in his post-match press conference, revealing Timber was subbed as a precautionary measure.
The Spaniard said of Timber’s performance: “He was unbelievable.
“He felt something muscular and we didn’t want to take any risks.
“He has been out a year and played a lot of minutes. We have to manage him.”
Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners against the French champions thanks to first-half goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka.
