The Flaming Lips’ drummer Steven Drozd’s daughter, 16, mysteriously disappears as urgent hunt launched
THE daughter of The Flaming Lips’ drummer Steven Drozd has gone missing, sparking a frantic search.
Charlotte, 16, was last seen by the Space Needle in Seattle on Saturday, according to cops.
Her dad Steven, who has been part of the rock band since 1991, said his daughter was seen on the monorail, per an X post.
It’s thought she may have been heading downtown, according to a missing person post.
Charlotte, known as “Bowie,” was wearing khaki shorts and pink shoes.
She was last seen just hours after her dad’s gig at The Climate Pledge Arena, per the Fox affiliate KCPQ-TV,
The concert was part of Weezer’s Blue Album rock tour.
Mystery surrounds Charlotte’s disappearance, but cops told the Seattle Times that a kidnapping report has not been filed.
“There’s no criminal investigation that we’ve conducted,” Eric Munoz of the Seattle Police Department told the outlet.
“It’s a standard missing juvenile case.”
A missing person detective is probing the case.
Cops revealed Charlotte is around five feet seven inches tall and weighs 130 pounds.
The missing person poster has been shared on the band’s official Facebook account and a search is underway.
Wayne Coyne, the band’s frontman, shared a snap of the poster on his Instagram account and begged: “Please help if you can!!!”
Drozd responded and thanked his friend for sharing the missing person post.
Michael Ivins, who was a founding member of the band, and Matt Duckworth also shared the poster on their social media accounts.
