MTV EMAs celebs showered with £180k freebies EACH – with bling High Street jewellery a surprise hit
STARS at the MTV Europe Music Awards were showered with £180,000-worth of freebies each — but made a beeline for Greggs jewellery.
Performers including Pet Shop Boys, Raye, Tyla, Teddy Swims and Shawn Mendes were able to take their pick of the luxury haul.

It includes £36 gold-plated sausage roll earrings and a £45 jammy heart necklace.
Around 40 presenters and “talent” had swag bags worth £180,000 dropped at their hotel suites.
Other accredited guests and VIPs were given access to the “gifting suite” at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena.
An industry insider told The Sun: “Swag bags have become a big part of awards shows. Brands love the celebrity exposure, while the celebs and VIPs love the blingy treats — it’s a win-win! And the Greggs jewellery went down particularly well, just like its sausage rolls.”
The scale of the MTV EMAs’ giveaway emerged yesterday — a week after Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Tyla walked away as big winners.
Other gifts on offer included trips to the Abu Dhabi and Monaco F1 Grands Prix, Rod Stewart’s whisky and Margot Robbie’s gin.
Jewellery, speakers, make-up and Man City tickets were available — along with Manchester brands and designers.
David Batchelor, of Nugget Events which pulled together the mega haul, said: “This wasn’t just a freebie fest — it was about shining a light on small businesses, minority-owned brands, and companies making a difference.”
