Well, you could look to our favourite celebs for inspiration – if your pockets are very deep and loved ones have a taste for tat.
From a £1,300 Christmas jumper courtesy of Kim Kardashian, to a Mariah Carey festive doormat for 30 quid, it is beginning to look a lot like the stars are cashing in this winter.
We sent Sun Grinch Alun Palmer on a shopping mission to deck the halls with a haul of dreck from celebrity websites – and the shocking results would be enough to get Santa sacked.
MARIAH CAREY
IT wouldn’t be Christmas without the reigning queen of shopping music.
And perhaps not surprisingly the All I Want For Christmas Is You singer has joined in with the great seasonal sellathon, with her own range of gold snowglobes, ornaments and wrapping paper engraved with her initials now on sale.
She even has her own festive doormat for a hefty £30.
Or if all you want to find under the tree is a blow-up Mariah as Santa, riding with an inflatable set of reindeer, then you are in luck . . . for she has that too, at just £124.
OK, it looks nothing like Mariah, but it’s the thought that counts.
Just wait until your next-door neighbour sees it and tries to mask their jealousy with a smirk.
HOLLY WILLOUGHBY
WANT to know what Christmas was like at the former This Morning presenter’s semi in 1985 when she was a kid?
Perhaps you’d enjoy recreating that special time in your home? No, me neither. Even so, Holly’s £11 scented wax (borrowed from) Christmas 1985 candle “is the ultimate Christmas smell,” she promises.
“One sniff and you’re transported back to all of the best Christmases you’ve ever had – and let’s face it, there’s no Christmas like a 1980s Christmas!” she continues.
“Scents are so powerful they can just take you back to a memory and this one comes with a Shakin’ Stevens Merry Christmas Everyone soundtrack.”
No mention of the aroma of Grandad after a double helping of sprouts, though.

OK, we get it – Ed ’n’ Elt love Christmas. In fact they love it so much, they even had a hit song about it.
Or two, in Elton’s case.
And if Kim Kardashian’s £1,300 Christmas jumper is a tad too costly for your budget, then Britain’s top jolly troubadours have their own woollies on offer at a far more reasonable price. And there’s not one sequin in sight.
Just £40 gets you Ed’s sweater, while Elt’s is £55, and he goes to town with £70 tree ornaments.

STRUGGLING to find something special for the office party?
Then search no more, as the reality TV veteran has got just what you are looking for – as long as you’ve got the odd £1,300 to spare.
That’s the price of Kim’s Balmain Christmas sweater, which is described on the kardashiankloset website, presumably in a hurry, as: “EXTREMELY RARE limited edition style made custom for Kris; white furry sweater with red, blue and pink crystal, beaded and sequinned Christmas tree & snowflake graphic embroidery, and dolman sleeves”.

NOTHING screams Christmas more than a pretend tin of black fish eggs dangling from your tree . . .
At least, that’s how things are in the wacky world of Gwyneth Paltrow. Go round her gaff this Christmas for a homeopathic Baileys, and you can marvel at this £25 tree decoration in the shape of a tin of caviar.
And it speaks volumes about shoppers on her Goop website, where it helpfully says: “It’s not actual caviar.”
Duh.
MOLLY-MAE HAGUE
SHE may only have been a runner-up on Love Island, but the canny 25-year-old has got a head for business, having made £6million from her fashion and beauty business since her TV stint in 2019.
And you can keep the cash rolling in for Molly-Mae, who for £37 is selling a Merry Spritzmas Bundle to get that reality TV glow, even if you don’t have millions in the bank.
The fake tan pack includes a large velvet mitt which, you can be fairly sure, was road-tested by her boxer ex-fiancé Tommy Fury.
DOLLY PARTON
IF ever there was someone who could really put a bit of sparkle into Christmas, it is the veteran country music star.
But if rhinestones aren’t your thing, maybe your dog would be more willing to get dolled up like Dolly, 78, who sells a huge range of canine gear in aid of an American animal rescue centre.
For just £11 you can get your pet party ready with this holiday dress, or splash out on a Happy Dollydays hoodie for £47.
DONALD TRUMP
IT looks like it has been burnt to a crisp by a dodgy set of short-circuiting Christmas tree lights, eaten by the family dog, then deposited on a road where Santa and all nine reindeer ran over it, reversed, then ran over it again.
But for 50 quid you can get the new President-elect’s “magical, glittery Trump Tower” in New York to hang on your tree.
