Horror moment Porsche crashes through busy barber shop sending customers running and leaving boy, 10, injured
THIS is the terrifying moment customers are forced to run for their lives as a Porsche SUV smashes through a packed barber shop.
Horror footage shows the Porsche Macan ploughing through the popular Texas hair salon before crashing into a 10-year-old boy and ramming him through a wall.
The young child was left with internal bleeding and was rushed to hospital after the collision, police said.
Surveillance footage captured the moments of the crash at the 32 Degrees Barbershop in the city of Houston.
Inside the shop was 25 barbers and customers with some receiving treatment at the time the car broke through the walls.
The sound of the Porsche tearing through a neighboring shop quickly raised alarm bells as those inside started to panic and run for the exit.
The scary video then shows how the SUV clattering into the shop and opening up a giant hole in the walls.
Debris was sent flying and wiped out several people still trapped inside the barbers.
The 10-year-old was directly hit as the motor sped through the shop and smashed through the opposite wall.
The boy was reportedly sent flying along with the car into the massage parlour next door.
Darrick Brown, the owner of the shop, told Fox San Antonio: “Man, it was crazy, man. I was shaken up, man when I turned. I was like, ’cause it’s like the kid just disappeared.
“I don’t know. It’s just one of them things that happen.”
A second woman was also left injured and taken to hospital, the owner of the shocked strip mall, Joseph Rothchild said.
The driver of the SUV, was later revealed to be a 61-year-old man who had managed to drive through four interior walls before coming to a standstill in a gun shop.
Rothchild says he spoke to the driver and claimed he’d just been for treatment at the dialysis center before the crash.
The mall owner said: “He said he remembered backing up, and he remembered going forward, but after that, he just remembered waking up in the space.”
Police confirmed the man is set to be held without fault.
This leaves him being held responsible for the accident regardless of the intent.
The incident took place at around 12:15pm on Saturday, December 14.
Barber Chez Robertson said the child was waiting around for his turn to have a haircut before the crash.
He told the Independent: “It was just a normal Saturday of cutting. I finished my client, and I was about to put my 10-year-old in the chair.
“The kid is doing much better and is now recovering in the ICU.
“I just ask that you all keep the prayers going for the little man. He’s a great kid that loves to talk trash to his barber. He’s funny too!”
It comes after seven people were injured in New York City on Christmas Day after a yellow taxi jumped a sidewalk and smashed into pedestrians.
The Christmas chaos occurred on Avenue of Americas and West 34th Street in the middle of Herald Square just after 4pm.
